Xbox Game Pass finally revealed the list of games not included in its cheap General category and time it doesn't have a Day-One release, there are a bunch of older titles that aren't there either. To accommodate those not happy to pay more, a standard category was introduced, but it seems the deal is worse than expected.

Fans Are Happy With Game Pass Standard
And Many Blame Call Of Duty
While Xbox Game Pass is often hailed as “the best deal in sports,” public opinion of the service is starting to sour. Breaking promises that subscription fees will not increase in the foreseeable future, Xbox revealed the price increase shortly after the confirmation Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 as a Day-One release. Given the popularity of the franchise, many believe that the company is forcing users to pay for the expensive service to justify putting the game on Game Pass in the first place.
Those who chose to downgrade to Standard would have made peace with the fact that the Day-One release was out of the box but users were frustrated that the category lacked more titles than expected. Microsoft previously noted that regular subscribers will need to wait a year to gain access to previous Day-One drops. but the fact that even old games are not included is causing trouble. Xbox has not yet responded to the dispute but clarification will likely come in the next few days.
Struggle all around Xbox Game Pass' prices will be just one of the few thorns in Microsoft's side in 2024. The company started the year by announcing that. several first-party Xbox games will come to PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switchfollowing that up by shutting down popular studios like Arkane Austin and Tango Gameworks. The community is quickly becoming frustrated as many are now questioning where Microsoft intends to take the Xbox brand.
