Warning: SPOILERS ahead for The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power season 2, episode 5!The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power star Trystan Gravelle teased Pharazôn & Míriel’s power struggle as season 2 unfolds, hinting at what their conflict will be like. In Rings of Power season 2, episode 3, Pharazôn (Gravelle) usurped the throne of Númenor from Míriel (Cynthia Addi-Robinson), with episode 5 showing her expelling those still loyal to the former Queen Regent from her army. This led to the tragic death of Valandil (Alex Tarrant) when the new King’s son, Kemen (Leon Wadham) stabbed him in the back during a raid on a religious site.
Talking to (((THENEXUS)))Gravelle explained how Míriel would not be happy with Pharazôn’s treatment of Númenor as. Rings of Power season 2 continues. The actor also reveals that he will need to find a middle ground regarding his beliefs after the overthrow of the new king, something that could change his character in future episodes. Check out what Gravelle had to say below:
I mean, I think you’re in one hell of a time, right? Because it is the complete opposite of where I want to go. So, there will have to be a realignment, I think, of your vision and how you see Númenor moving. It will be difficult for him. Because, obviously, we will have to work on him, how he sees the world, and he is not in a position at the moment just so that his vision is perfect and everyone agrees with it. So, he’s going to have to compromise a lot of his beliefs, and a lot of what he sees as reality is going to change, I think, because of what happened, the wheel pulling that happened.
More to come…
