Marshmallows have arrived Disney Dreamlight Valley as part of an end-of-summer event, allowing players to prepare two new recipes that can be enjoyed and shared with others in the village. The end of summer event is a limited time event from September 4 to September 26, 2024, where special blue and pink Marshmallows can be found in the village.
Marshmallows are essential in making two new recipes for the summer event, S'mores and Roasted Marshmallows. While Pink Marshmallows will appear on trees to be collected, Blue Marshmallows will only appear as small objects on the ground that can be collected in certain biomes. Remember, both of these items will disappear when the event ends, so don't waste time.
Where to Find Pink & Blue Marshmallows
Use Marshmallows to Create S'mores and Roasted Marshmallows
The main part of this event, before you try these activities, is that you will need to find Pink Marshmallows and Blue Marshmallows, which will then be used to create recipes that are given to you through your in-game mailbox. As long as you enter your game during the event, you should see newly spawned trees in the Plaza, similar to how some eggs appear in the Eggstravaganza event.
There are three of them in total, except for the Plaza only, and they contain collectable Pink Marshmallows. You'll get four Pink Marshmallows each time you harvest a tree, and each one will take about 30 minutes to regenerate.. As for the Blue Marshmallows, there are no trees to look at. Instead, they will be found lying on the ground in the southern biomes. Biomes to be explored include Plaza, Peace Meadow, Dazzle Beach, Glade of Trust, and Forest of Valor.
Even if you meet your job requirements, I recommend that you continue to collect and fill the chest with some of the event items, as you can still make these powerful recipes after the event is over if you have the ingredients.
After finding some of them, you will be able to use them to make two different recipes. The first recipe is S'mores and the other is Roasted Marshmallows. You'll need both to complete the event's two Dreamlight Tasks.

Even though Blue Marshmallows can be found in several biomes and thus feel abundant, they are not. Each Blue Marshmallow collected will count only one and, most importantly, because they are so small, you will not be able to see them easily, especially if your biomes are very decorated or crowded. Although planned, I was able to get most of my Blue Marshmallow leaves from Peaceful Meadow, so I recommend you check there often.
How to Taste Some Sweetness
Eat S'mores or Roasted Marshmallows
Although Dream Jobs doesn't specify this, the recipes for each job are different. Although players can use S'mores or Roasted Marshmallows to complete this mission, Only Roasted Marshmallows can be used to complete Sharing Some Sweets. As for what is required of you, the words give you clues to that. To Enjoy Some Fun, you will need to cook any recipes and eat them.
However, since the task requires a total of 25 attempts to complete, you will have to make and eat recipes 25 times. That's why it's important not to waste time ignoring these tasks until the end of the event, because each recipe requires more than one type of Marshmallow, and they have cooling times before they regenerate. Therefore, if you wait too long, you may not have enough time to gather everything you need.
When you finish Savor Some sweetness, you will be awarded a Hiking Backpacka background item that you can equip your character at any time with Disney Dreamlight Valley cabinet customization tab.
How to Share the Fun
Cook & Gift Roasted Marshmallows to Your Residents
While the Savor Some sweetness task is flexible, the Share Some Sweetness task is not. In this Dreamlight activity, you will be able to use Roasted Marshmallows. So, if you give S'mores or just plain marshmallows to some villagers, it won't count, and you'll be wasting those things. Unfortunately, Roasted Marshmallows require two of each type of marshmallow per servingso you'll need exactly double the amount you spent to complete Savor Some sweetness.
Once you have collected enough Marshmallows, go to any cooking station and prepare a dish. With it in hand, you can go give it to Dreamlight Valley Villages by simply giving it to them. Although you can use both recipes for the Savor Some sweetness activity, it is recommended that you only use S'mores for that one, as it is easy to make, and you can only use Roasted Marshmallows for this one.
After you complete the Sweetness Dreamlight Sharing Mission, you will be awarded a Birding Top. This is a neck wear item similar to the brass binoculars that can be added through the Clothing Customization menu. Note that both prizes are currently exclusive Disney Dreamlight Valley It's the end of the summer event, so if you miss it now, you might not be able to catch it again.
