There is a quest in the Dark Urge Origin, where Alfira can stop by the party’s camp and stay the night with them. Whether she is invited to stay or not, the player character will wake up to find that they have killed her during the night. Using the mod “Save Alphara” by TLG53787, During the Deadly Night in Dark Urge Origin, Alfira is replaced by the Dragonborn Bard named Quill instead.

This mod essentially replicates what would happen if players went to the convoluted methods of preventing Alphara from being able to show up at the camp that night. Baldur’s Gate 3 is programmed to make sure that the main character kills someone, and so, if Alfira is off the table, Quill is the automatic replacement. Therefore, using this mod makes it much easier to replicate the events without much effort.

Saving Alphara from meeting a tragic end is a good idea, partly because Her death cuts out prospective storylines that could happen later in the game. If she manages to survive all the way to Act Three, she reunites with the player character once again at the Elfsong Tavern in Baldur’s Gate 3 With a unique history and rewards.

Although I have yet to try the mod myself, opening up the possibility of more quests and stories to follow is something I look forward to in my next playthrough.
