THE Xenoblade Chronicles The franchise has been one of Nintendo’s tentpole series, despite living in relative obscurity until recently. Despite successful sales with the original Xenoblade Chroniclesthe series only achieved great commercial success with the release of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and 3 on Nintendo Switch and the re-release of the first game with the name Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition.
However, while fans have enjoyed the Switch releases of all three games, there are many who haven’t had the chance to play the important spin-off. It is referenced several times, with characters appearing as cameos and allusions being made, particularly at the end of Xenoblade 3 Chronicles.
However, the fact that the entire series is available on the same platform worldwide demonstrates the enormous success of what was previously intended to be exclusive to Japan and Europe. In an alternate future – perhaps one in which humanity lives on the backs of giant titans – Xenoblade Chronicles faded into cult classic status as Xenosaga and Xenogears before that. However, thanks to the efforts of the Operation Rainfall movement, Xenoblade Chronicles it was brought to North America and the rest is history.
Newcomers and fans alike will finally be able to understand all the various references and see Tetsuya Takahashi and Monolith Soft’s vision for the series in its complete form. Additionally, fans will probably have some clarity about the rather abrupt cliffhanger at the end of the game like the Definitive Edition adds new story content. If it’s something like that Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive EditionAdditional story content will be a big deal for fans.
The Switch now has all the best Wii U games
Xenoblade Chronicles X was the final remnant
The Wii U had a number of incredible games that relatively few people had the opportunity to play thanks to the console’s poor sales. This included Mario Kart 8, The Marvelous 101, Tokyo Mirage #FE Sessions, Super Mario creator, Pikmin 3, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freezeand many more. Fortunately, they all eventually got a Nintendo Switch port, bringing most of the Wii U’s library of excellent games over.
However, the only game that wasn’t brought over was Xenoblade Chroniclesthe game that pushed the console to its absolute limits and was widely considered one of the best Wii U games of all time. Now that it’s coming to Nintendo Switch, it marks the end of its exclusivity, as well as the latest Wii U masterpiece coming to the platform.
