As Dark Myth: Wukong fans finish their first playthrough, chances are they missed a few things considering the various secret areas and bosses hidden throughout the game. Happily, Black Myth offers a New Game Plus mode that gives the Destined One access to all items and experiences from the previous run, while also adding exclusive gear. Among the many great incentives to repeat Black Myth These are the mythical weapons that the Destined obtain near the end of the story, as well as three unique weapons that can only be crafted in NG+.
[Warning: Spoilers for Black Myth: Wukong.]
The Fuban Adept Spine-Shooting Staff, Stormflash Loong Staff, and Black Iron Staff can be crafted in NG+, provided the Destined has the necessary materials. While technically the Jingubang Staff is found near the end of the first run, it will see most of its use in NG+. Additionally, the Tri-Point double-edged spear can also be acquired on the first playthrough, but many players will have to complete the associated quest in NG+ due to the many secret areas involved. See how these NG+ exclusives Dark Myth: Wukong classification of weapons, where to find them and how to put them to use.

Black Iron Staff
THE Black Iron Staff
and one of three craftable weapons found exclusively in NG+and can be created after acquiring some hard-to-find materials. Players are unlikely to have the necessary items if they have already built the Bull King armor set. Personnel upgrade calls for four Golden Tree Cores
mythical materials also used to create armor, obtained from difficult bosses like the Violet Spider and Scorpionlord. You also need two The Bull King’s Iron Horn
of which only four can be obtained per game, and two Kun Steel
other mythical material obtained from secret bosses.
Once crafted, this staff can feel a little underwhelming with its relatively low attack of 110 and five burn resistance. However, its unique effect”considerably increases defense-based attack.” When combined with the defense-focused Bull King armor set, this staff is capable of dealing incredible amounts of damage. However, despite this set’s high defense, burn and chill resistances, and increased focus, it has a Big caveat: players will sacrifice the Perfect Dodge skill instead of Tenacitya defensive ability that prevents being staggered. This armor combined with the Black Iron Staff creates an incredibly tanky build.
Since the team itself isn’t that great and others on the list have some amazing features, it’s at the bottom. But make no mistake – when used with each piece of the above armor set equipped, the Destined can expect to see doubled damage output. For this reason, it’s worth seeking out these pesky secret bosses to collect mythical materials for this unique NG+ team.
4
Jingubang
Unlike the mythical NG+ weapons on this list, Jingubang
can be acquired at the end of the first playthrough, after players access the Somersault Cloud and defeat a handful of secret bosses. This is the only staff in the game that completes an armor set – the Monkey King set – and the Destined will need to have all five pieces equipped to maximize Jingubang’s effects. When starting an NG+ run, this will be a contender for the best armor and staff combination available until other weapons on the list are acquired, so if players want an advantage in NG+, they will want these equipped.
Jingubang’s unique effect allows the Destined One’s fourth Focus Point to not run out over time, a very useful feature for any type of build. However, the Heaven’s Equal armor set bonus that Jingubang completes will be hard to pass up on players’ first try in NG+. With three pieces equipped, the Destined gets a moderate (but impactful) increase in Critical Strike Chance, while all five pieces cause critical hits to reduce the cooldown of all spells. The complete set allows players to better take advantage of the full range of spell options available, while also providing high defense.
At a certain point, being tied to this armor set starts to feel suffocating, especially after acquiring different options while running NG+, like the Stormflash Loong Staff below. It’s a great NG to NG transition team+, but which will eventually be replaced by something a little more flashy, depending on the player’s preferences.

Three-pronged double-edged spear
This mythical weapon can be acquired on the first playthrough of Destined One, but doing so requires tracking down several secret bosses that many players won’t even realize exist until the second playthrough. Furthermore, the Three-pronged double-edged spear
is the most viable momentum-focused weapon in the game, and will be a feature in NG+ versions that seek to integrate spear skills into their light attack combos. With an attack of 135 and a 6% increase in critical strike chance, this spear can do serious damage in the thrust stance. The spear’s unique effect as well”throws swords from the staff” when performing the Strong Impulse.
TRI POINT DOUBLE EDGED BOOM REQUIREMENTS |

Complete the Treasure Hunter quest in Chapter 3 |
Defeat the secret area boss of each chapter:
|
Locate the secret area of Mount Mei |
Defeat Erlang, the Holy Deity |
Unfortunately, acquiring the parts for this spear is no easy task and requires players to complete the Treasure Hunter quest in Chapter 3, defeat four secret area bosses, find an important secret location, and defeat one of the hardest bosses in the game, Erlang, the Holy Deity. This is the boss that the Destined faces at the start of the game and after players defeat Elder Jinchi, Fuban, The Duskveil, and the Golden-Eyed Beast Bishui, revisiting the Great Pagoda will trigger a cutscene that will take them to Erlang (and the true end of Dark Myth: Wukong).
The challenge of obtaining this spear is its biggest drawback, but the fact that it can be acquired at the end of the first playthrough means it will be a difficult task. main candidate for the weapon of the Destined in the first NG+ chapters. It can also be equipped with virtually any equipment, although the Golden Set is recommended due to its synergy with Critical Hits and Spirit Skills.
2
Spine Shot Adept Fuban Staff
Another exclusive manufacturable in NG+, the Spine Shot Adept Fuban Staff
requires overlaying rare materials like the Dark Iron and Stormflash Loong staffs, with one exception – an even rarer material, the Sky piercing horn
. Four of them are required and there are only three available in a single playthrough. In the initial playthrough, the Destined will need to defeat not only Fuban, the secret boss of Chapter 2, but also the Scorpion Lord and the infamous Hundred-Eyed Taoist Master in Chapter 4. So, they will need to defeat one of them again in GN+ to the fourth horn.
As with all these mythical weapons, the challenge of obtaining materials is worth it in the end. This staff features a 25% critical strike chance, making it an excellent staff for maximizing damage output. The unique effect also recovers Health when spending Focus on charged Heavy attacks, simultaneously “Attack nearby enemies with spikes fired from the staff.” Due to its high critical strike percentage, this staff makes it possible to have over 100% overall critical strike chance when combined with the Monkey King Set and various critical-based buffs/debuffs such as the Loong Aura amplification pellets
and Double combed rooster blood
.
This staff ranks high in terms of overall damage dealt, and Can be used in virtually any construction. However, accumulating Critical Strike Chance has a noticeable impact on combat, so if players invest Sparks strategically and take advantage of the optimal armor, Pills, Curios, and Absorptions with complementary effects, the Adept Spine-Shooting Fuban Staff will inflict Critical Damage on almost every blow.
1
Stormflash Loong Staff
This incredible mythical weapon, the Stormflash Loong Staff
is the latest craftable weapon exclusive to NG+ and tops the list because of its incredible Thunder effects, impressive attack, and high critical strike chance. Players can acquire this after collecting nine Loong Pearls
what are dropped from each of the Loong enemies (Loong Red, Black, Cyan and Yellow) and Kang-Jin Star. Unfortunately, there are only five available in one playthrough, so if players miss any of these difficult bosses in the first round, they will have to make one more playthrough to acquire all the necessary materials.
Stormflash Loong’s unique effectattracts Thunder while charging and inflicts Thunder Damage with each team attack when in shock.” This means it has good synergy with items like Wind Tamer
Vessel and the Loongscale Set, which inflicts Thunder Bane and increases Thunder damage. Thunder can be leveraged especially well with the Pillar Stance moveset and this team’s reliance on charged heavy attacks. players will see the Thunder grow quickly, giving them a much-needed edge in NG+ plays. Overall, Stormflash Loong’s unique ability, when optimized and triggered correctly, is at the top of the list.
These five weapons will be the cornerstones of a successful NG+ game and are valuable rewards for taking on the game’s incredibly difficult bosses for the second or third time. All of these mythical weapons are viable with a variety of build types, and players should experiment with what works best against each specific boss. The bosses in Dark Myth: Wukong are unique and require nuanced tactics, but as players progress through NG+ and future attempts at the game, they will likely find a favorite weapon of the Destined.
