Now, on to a variant cover for Batman: The Brave and the Bold #19, Wonder Woman has an awe-inspiring new weapon, based on an icon from the Golden Age of comics.
DC revealed their November solicitations, including Batman: The Brave and the Bold #19. The anthology book features a variety of stories each month, and this issue will see Wonder Woman team up with Plastic Man.

Wonder Woman’s alliance with Plastic Man creates a powerful DC team
Wonder Woman is skilled in the use of many weapons, including her lasso. Wonder Woman’s Magic Lasso has become integral to her character, and reflects the real-world concerns of her creator, William Moulton Marston. The lasso compels anyone in its grasp to tell the truth. In fact, Marston, a psychologist, helped develop the polygraph. More often referred to as a “lie detector,” the polygraph is a real-world analog of Wonder Woman’s lasso. In addition to the lasso, Wonder Woman is also very proficient with other weapons.
Plastic Man is extremely hard to kill, and when his other abilities are factored in, he becomes one of DC’s most underrated powerhouses. When these powers are combined with Wonder Woman’s, it makes for a formidable team.
Rossmo’s cover for Batman: The Brave and the Bold #19 depicts Wonder Woman using Plastic Man as a shield. At first, this may seem like an odd use for Plastic Man’s stretching abilities, but his durability makes him essentially invulnerable. Plastic Man’s powers also allow him to change his form, allowing him to infiltrate lairs and headquarters. Plastic Man is extremely hard to kill, and when his other abilities are factored in, he becomes one of DC’s most underrated powerhouses. When these powers are combined with Wonder Woman’s, it makes for a formidable team.

Plastic Man deserves more respect
The next adventure of Plastic Man with Wonder Woman in Batman: The Brave and the Bold #19 continues the character’s recent hot streak. Plastic Man appeared in Absolute powerand is set to get its own DC Black Label miniseries written by Christopher Cantwell. Plastic Man is one of DC’s oldest characters, with ties to some of comics’ greatest creators, including Jack Cole. Although Plastic Man is acknowledged as a cult icon, deserving of more mainstream respect. Wonder Woman Knowing that Plastic Man is on the level, and using him in place of her Magic Lasso is a huge vote of confidence.
