Batman Superman World's Finest #30 Wonder Woman

Like the rest of the series, this issue focuses on the early days of Superman, Batman and Robin (Dick Grayson), making Diana’s addition to the team particularly exciting as it’s the Trinity’s first mission together. Along with the thrill of this iconic team-up, Fans were treated to a nostalgic return of the Amazon princess in her costume design by George Pérez– One of her best looks ever, in my opinion.

Pérez’s 1987 costume design is particularly notable because it followed DC’s game-changing Crisis on Infinite Earths Series. The artist made significant updates, such as swapping Diana’s high heels for flats—highlighting the impracticality of an isolated Amazon culture using heels—and giving her bracelets of submission a bolder design. However, this iconic costume is not just Pérez’s creation. The foundation of the look, including the Change from Diana’s classic golden eagle emblem to the WW initials on her chest was introduced in 1982 Under the leadership of DC Comics’ first female publisher, Jenette Kahn.

Therefore, Wonder Woman’s classic costume, with her signature WW emblem, star-spangled briefs, white-striped red boots and bold bracelets, was the result of a collaboration between DC creators. See this costume return in Batman/Superman: The World’s Finest #30 was nostalgic for me, as it faithfully recreates the original design. The only thing missing is Diana’s curlier, fuller hair that Pérez popularized in his version. While I understand that hairstyle was very much a product of the ’80s, I still would have loved to see it make a comeback.

I can’t wait to see more of Wonder Woman’s classic costume in the future The best world Issues
