Wonder Woman's most badass kill of all time convinced me she's DC's best fighter

Summary

  • Wonder Woman's latest kill proves that she is a force to be reckoned with even without her powers.

  • Throwing a hammer into a mutant's throat, she defeats him with a molotov cocktail-epic moment.

  • With over 2,200 years of experience, she is a better fighter than Batman.

Wonder Woman Just scored her most badass kill ever, and the coolest part? She did it without her usual powers. This moment solidifies her as one of DC's most formidable heroes, even without her god-like abilities. It may be a bold claim, but I am convinced that the Amazon princess is now the top fighter in the DC Universe, even outshining Batman.

Wonder Woman's position as DC's best fighter isn't due to her powers, but rather her unmatched skills and experience.

Wonder Woman: Dead Earth #2 by Daniel Warren Johnson and Mike Spicer continues the Black Label story of Diana Prince's awakening from a centuries-long sleep, where she discovers that her friends are gone and Earth has become a wasteland.

Wonder Woman Dead Earth #2 Diana and Monster Fight

In her quest to understand what happened to the planet she once swore to protect, Diana returns to Themyscira, leading a group of people in hopes of finding sanctuary. Along the way, they encounter one of the massive mutants now roaming Earth and hunting humans. taken over by the beast, The humans find their last hope in the depowered Wonder Woman, who rises to the challenge in one of her most remarkable moments..

Wonder Woman turning a gigantic monster into a molotov cocktail is her most badass kill

Wonder Woman Dead Earth #2 Diana and Monster Fight Part 2

Diana leads a large group of people across the wasteland of Earth when a giant Haedra - one of the mutated monsters - attacks. Despite their large number of fighters, the beast quickly proves that they are losing the battle. In a desperate bid to save her charges, Diana drives a hammer off a cliff and into the beast's neck. She jumps from the vehicle, stabbing the creature with her sword to gain a foothold, then pours gasoline down its throat. Retrieving a Zippo lighter from Batman's utility belt - that she freed from the Dark Knight's skeleton - Diana threw it at the beast's throat.Causing an explosion from within.

The scene was nothing short of epic, especially since Diana was in a weakened state since awakening from her centuries-long slumber. Her ability to defeat the gargantuan monster without any superpowers makes this moment immensely impressive. As I took in Johnson's stunning art, I couldn't help but smile, struck by a single thought: "That was hard." The added emotional weight of Diana using her deceased best friend's ladder to defeat the Beast introduces a surprising layer of depth, solidifying this scene as one of my top Wonder Woman moments.

Controversial names, but I think Wonder Woman is a better fighter than Batman

Comic book panel: Wonder Woman punches Batman off a balcony.

Even as a Dark Knight loyalist, I have to admit that Wonder Woman: Dead Earth #2 could have solidified Diana as DC's top fighter - a title typically reserved for Batman. Comparing Batman to his peers is usually challenging because most of them have powers while he doesn't. However, Diana's ability to defeat the nearly unkillable beast with virtually no powers shows that she surpasses even Bruce in combat. This makes sense given her status as an ancient Amazonian warrior with over 2,200 years of fighting experience. so, Wonder Woman The position as DC's best fighter is not due to her powers, but rather her unmatched skills and experience.
