Logan’s biggest victories over Sabretooth have always resulted from him negating his enemy’s healing factor. in 2007 Wolverine: Evolution (by Jeph Loeb and Simone Bianchi), Wolverine killed Sabretooth with the Muramasa Blade, a mystical blade that reduces the effectiveness of healing factors. More recently, during the fall of x Crossover event, Logan killed the real Sabretooth with another version of the iconic weapon.
The version of Sabretooth killed in Wolverine: Evolution Was later recognized as a clone, which Logan eventually took down the real deal with the same weapon incredibly satisfying. The Muramasa Blade is no random weapon – it’s a sword forged from Wolverine’s rage, cutting on the molecular level.
The loss of Sabretooth’s healing factor in the fight, as well as his assured death at the hands of Wolverine, brings a violent end to their story.
