Wolverine has come up with the only tactic that can kill Sabretooth
Now he needs to use it in an even bigger Marvel name.
Logan’s greatest victories over Sabretooth were always the result of him denying his enemy’s healing factor. In 2007 Wolverine: Evolution (by Jeph Loeb and Simone Bianchi), Wolverine killed Sabretooth using the Muramasa Blade, a mystical blade that reduces the effectiveness of healing factors. More recently, during Fall X In the crossover, Logan killed the real Sabretooth using a different version of the iconic weapon.
A version of Sabretooth killed in Wolverine: Evolution was later transformed into a clone, making Logan ultimately incredibly satisfying to take down the real deal with the same weapon. Muramasa’s Blade is no random weapon – it is a sword forged from Wolverine’s rage and cuts on a molecular level.
The loss of Sabretooth’s healing factor in this battle, as well as his assured death at the hands of Wolverine, brought a brutal end to their story. And, having officially put his oldest grudge behind him, Wolverine is free to settle his recent grievances with the Brotherhood. Let’s hope Logan can hold onto Forge’s neutralizer, because one of the deadliest names on his list is Deadpool. – an evil mercenary who will be a test for Wolverine even though his healing factor is cancelled.
