There have been countless evil versions of Batman, such as Owlman from Earth-3, Batman’s alternate personality Zur-En-Arrh, and the Batman Who Laughs, but Batman/Superman: World’s Finest #32 takes the separate team-up of evil Batman and Superman to the next level. A similar team took place in Superman/Batman: “Absolute Power” #14-18, when 31st-century villains kidnap and raise both Superman and Batman to be murderous dictators. The “Absolute Power” story provides a glimpse into how destructive to human life a tyrannical Batman assumption can be if he ignores his no-kill code.
When villains take charge of Batman’s assets…they are shown to do tremendous damage.
Superman has tremendous power, however Batman’s talents go beyond brute strength with his high intelligence, advanced technology and vast wealth, making the evil-possessed Caped Crusader all the more threatening.. When villains take charge of Batman’s assets, such as the Joker taking Bruce Wayne’s money during the Joker War, or Amanda Waller taking control of Batman’s AI android failsafe, they are shown to do enormous damage. Batman is a one-man army, and Batman/Superman: World’s Finest #32 Shows this when he is quickly able to hack into NASA’s database to take out Earth’s telecommunication satellites.
Once Batman is on a warpath, not much can stop the Caped Crusader
Evil Batman is a vicious force of nature
The Justice League and Justice Society attempt to defeat the possessed Batman and Superman, but even their joint efforts are not enough. The Spectre, God’s wrath himself, acknowledges the danger of Batman and Superman’s combined powers and takes drastic measures by creating an illusion of him snapping Robin’s throat which shocks Batman out of Eclipso’s possession. Batman’s brief response to the death of billions of people is chilling because Batman knows exactly how unbeatable he and Superman are united, and he knows exactly how they’re going to do it, Alluding to a truly dystopic and terrifying future.
