THE Will Trent season 2 finale set up season 3 with a controversial cliffhanger.
ABC he has released the official trailer for Will Trent Season 3 Two-Part Season Premierewhich will air on January 7, 2025. The trailer shows Will’s working relationship with new series regular Marion Alba, played by Gina Rodriguez, and things are already looking thorny. A scene from the trailer shows Marion entering a room to argue with Will, who suggests they strategize, and she counters that they could “improvise, freestyle” before walking away, while Will reacts with a curt “No.” Check out the trailer below:
Furthermore, for TV Linenew cast member Scott Foley is set to join the show in the role of Dr.. He is depicted as a confident and no-nonsense chief of medicine at a local hospital and will serve as main character Angie’s love interest this season.
What does this mean for Will Trent Season 3
Will’s professional life could be about to get more turbulent
The interaction in the trailer hints at the important dynamics that will be at play throughout much of the Will Trent Season 3, which is the carefree, aloof, instinctive Marion versus the meticulous, detail-oriented, by-the-book Will. These two characters are very opposite in their approach to cases, and this will certainly cause friction between the duo. However, Marion seems to be enjoying this a lot more than Will, at least from what the clip suggests. Will will be tested professionally and personally this season and Marion will likely be at the forefront of that.
The situation is even stranger given what Will faced in Season 2. Will and Angie’s relationship is in crisis following the shocking revelations of the Season 2 finale and Will’s decision to arrest Angie for covering up Lenny’s murder (and Crystal’s involvement). It’s unclear if the two will make up anytime soon, and with Dr. Seth set to become Angie’s new love interest, this is will certainly drive an even bigger wedge between Will and his former love.
Our verdict on Will Trent Season 3 revelations
Things will be difficult for the protagonist
It is likely to be a Will Trent season filled with regrets and doubts for Will, and although he was right to arrest Angie, it is a decision that will affect him emotionally. Your working relationship with Marion will start off awkward and combative, but I believe it could evolve into a very fruitful and effective working relationship, with the two complementing each other’s strengths and weaknesses. As for Angie, it’s unclear what the future of the series holds for her and how Seth figures into all of this, but life isn’t going to get easier for Will anytime soon.
