While the full extent of Season 2's plot is not yet known, it is assumed that it will bring to an end the conflict introduced in Jack's past. The former detective finds himself in the crosshairs of an investigation, but loyal viewers know very well that he is not guilty. Season 3 will likely deal with the fallout from the myriad of revelations that Season 2 presentsand puts the story in a unique position. Joan has found closure and Jack will likely be closer to accepting his own past. This gives much less motivation to the duo's wanderings through the Outback.
