Will there be a mysterious third season? What’s next for the League Of Legends universe

Viewers shouldn’t wait Arcane third season, but that doesn’t mean League of Legends the story is over. Riot does not plan to release Arcane Season 3

There were only plans for two seasons

Initially, there were confusing reports that Riot intended to make a whopping five seasons of Arcanebut this was based on a misunderstanding; as League of Legends creator Marc Merill explained in RedditThere were initially budget talks about creating five seasons of shows in total. But Arcane It was only planned to last two seasonswith the story ending so that the franchise could move in other directions. This fits well with certain character deaths in Arcane the Season 2 finale, which leaves the story in a remarkably open-ended place.

The open ending of Arcane season two is totally appropriate, because there will be more stories set in League of Legends universe. Talking to Collider, Arcane co-creator Christian Linke confirmed the scale of Riot’s ambition:

Still, as Ekko proved in Arcane Season 2, all things are just a matter of time.
