Will Daisy Kelliher be able to redeem herself after damaging her reputation in Season 5? (Did a lot happen?)

Chef Stew Daisy Kelliher used to be a fan favorite on Below Deck franchise, but she could become a villain in Sailing yacht below deck season 5. The Irish Chief Stew appeared in Sailing yacht below deck since season 2, replacing Chief Stew Jenna MacGillivray. Known for her no-nonsense attitude and dry humor, Daisy is one of the most fun figures in the franchise. However, her reputation began to change following her love triangle with former chief engineer Colin Macrae and series bad boy Gary King.

Sailing yacht below deck season 5 is already full of conflict and Daisy is at the center. Gary’s sexual misconduct incident weighs heavily on his presence on the show, with Gary accusing production of editing him out due to pushback. He has denied all allegations of wrongdoing, but it is unclear what role Gary’s bad behavior played in the alleged incident. On board, Gary and Daisy are fighting with their crew. Gary is frustrated with the unmotivated and incompetent Deckhand Emma Crouch, and Daisy can’t seem to get along with Stews Diana Cruz and Danni Warren. Will she redeem herself?

Daisy doesn’t always take advice

Captain Glenn criticized his behavior

Daisy may be in trouble aboard the Parsifal III in Sailing yacht below deck Season 5 due to his inability to take advice. She’s one of the most knowledgeable people in the franchise, but that doesn’t mean she’s immune to constructive criticism. In a recent episode of See what happens live with Andy CohenCaptain Glenn criticized Daisy’s behavior. He told Andy that Daisy needs to be “listen and accept feedback”, hinting at his inability to receive constructive criticism.

It’s important to note that Captain Glenn also gave advice to Gary and chef Cloyce Martin, who hold leadership roles on board. However, Daisy could venture into villain territory if she completely avoided all feedback while also giving advice to Chef Cloyce. The 22-year-old chef didn’t take kindly to Daisy’s recommendations at the end of the last charter, but ended up taking her advice seriously. Daisy needs to do the same.

Daisy is turning into a villain

She’s fighting with Stew Diana Cruz

Daisy is in a fight with one of her cooks, Diana, and their disagreements have been seen on and off screen. At the beginning of the season, Diana struggled to follow Daisy’s orders, often questioning her approach. When Daisy asked Diana and Danni to use their downtime to practice making cocktails, citing her need to improve her bartending skills, Diana quickly became irritated. She refused, asserting her right to rest during breaks, generating new confrontations between the two. Although Diana appears to be in the wrong, Daisy could still get a villainous edit.

Daisy doesn’t deserve the villain edit, but she shouldn’t have made Diana work after hours.

Diana publicly aired his grievances on Instagram following the episode, sharing a screenshot from ChatGPT, alluding to employees not wanting to work on breaks. Although the post was sarcastic, it illustrated Diana’s frustration with Daisy’s demands as chief stew. As the show continues to air, it becomes clear that Daisy doesn’t follow Diana on Instagram. However, she follows everyone else in the Season 5 cast. It’s fair to say that Diana and Daisy didn’t resolve the issue during filming, and Daisy could eventually turn out to be the villain, despite appearing to be right.

Daisy can be a productive plant

Their love triangle sparked drama

Accusations of a Daisy-producing plant have surfaced since the beginning of Sailing yacht below deck season 5. Although she started out unassuming and professional, Daisy quickly became the center of all the drama in Sailing yacht below deck season 4. She and Gary were off-screen between seasons 3 and 4, and Gary’s lingering feelings threatened Daisy’s relationship with Colin. The former chief engineer felt blindsided by the entire situation, and all three friendships were effectively ruined.

Daisy wasted no time in criticizing Gary for his lack of support following her public break-up with Colin in the season premiere. Since Daisy has no romantic drama in Sailing yacht below deck In Season 5, it looks like the producers may be exacerbating tensions with their stews, Danni and Diana, to create drama for more fun episodes. Daisy’s stew scenes and past interactions with Gary and Colin seem manipulated in retrospect, giving Daisy her bad reputation in Season 5.

However, Daisy can still redeem herself. She’s always been a fan favorite and there’s no reason why she can’t return to her more favorable reputation. Daisy needs to be direct but gentle with her stews, avoiding passive aggressiveness. She also needs to keep her distance from Gary as they seem to explode when they argue with each other. As long as Daisy remains genuine and objective Sailing yacht below deckshe will redeem herself.
