Joan enthusiastically accepted the offer of marriage and the couple rode off into the sunset to live happily ever after. Joan kicked off the show by meeting her The golden bachelorette cast, including Chock. She started the season by giving Chock his first one-on-one date and ended it by giving him his last rose. Despite their emotional love story, the relationship may be doomed.

Joan May Not Be Over Her Late Husband
She’s still grieving
Long before joining the cast of The Golden Bachelor In Season 1, Joan was married to John Vassos for 32 years, until he passed away in 2021. Joan deeply loved John, with whom she had four children, and always looked forward to growing old with him. When he was diagnosed with cancer, she denied it until he was gone. Before he died, he told her that he didn’t want her to be alone for the rest of her life, but Joan struggled to overcome the loss during The golden bachelorette season 1.
Chock came in very quickly
He is a possessive person
After a long season of romantic encounters, Joan ends The golden bachelorette season 1, giving his final rose to Chock, but his intentions are questionable. Chock was possessive of Joan throughout the season, often stepping on other contestants’ toes. Chock seemed totally obsessed with Joan, which is a huge red flag. Joan and Chock got engaged, but we hope Joan takes a while before getting married.
