A new dominant deck is emerging in the Pokemon trading card game. The Raging Bolt EX deck is beginning its long-awaited ascent into the upper levels of Pokemon TCG Game. The deck’s biggest strength is its relative straight-forwardness with a focus on making big attacks with its powerhouse Pokemon, Raging Bolt ex. Raging Bolt Ex has been one of the most used decks in recent tournaments, and is currently picking up some impressive wins. Raging Bolt Ex is not only a deck to beat in the current metagame, but may remain so until the meta shifts dramatically.
This deck focuses on two signature Pokemon – a valuable one Temporary powers card, Raging Bolt EX, and Teal Mask Ogerpon EX. Raging Bolt Ex’s signature move, Bellowing Thunder, deals 70 damage for each Energy Card removed from any of a player’s Pokemon. The key is that Raging Bolt Ex doesn’t need to lose energy himself to use his signature move. So, players can attach energy to Teal Mask Ogerpon Ex using the card’s Teal Mask ability to charge the attack of Raging Bolt Ex. Raging Bolt Ex is basically the canon for this deckWith Teal Mask Ogerpon ex provide the ammunition.

Raging Bolt EX has already won two major tournaments
The Raging Bolt ex Deck picked up his first major win at the Louisville Regionals over the weekend. Caleb Gedemer emerged victorious with their Raging Bolt EX deck over a Lost Box deck. It also recently won a special Masters tournament in Japan with nearly 5,000 participants, according to Limitless TCG. Although the deck has seen significant play since its debut, it has only seen success in recent weeks. About 15% of tournament players now use Raging Bolt Ex, Making it the most popular deck in current play, so it was only a matter of time before it started getting significant wins.

Interestingly, all of Raging Bolt EX’s recent finishes have come against decks they have a neutral matchup against. Raging Bolt Ex has an advantage over Regidrago Ex, But has a disadvantage against Charizard ex Dex. Since Charizard Ex has been a popular deck all year, this may be why Raging Bolt Ex has failed to make a big impact until recently.
That’s what makes this Pokemon deck so unbeatable
Raging Bolt EX hits hard and fast, making it hard to hit
The deck’s primary goal is to attack for big damage every single turn, targeting the opponent’s two-price Pokemon, and It is one of the few decks in the meta that can get a major knockout during turn 1. Although it has to discard energy with each use of Bellowing Thunder, using Professor Sada’s Vitality pulls the energy out of the discard and back to any ancient Pokemon. Other cards like Boss’s Orders and Pokémon Catcher help draw the right Pokémon into play for Raging Bolt to attack.
Raging Bolt Ex is a strong deck because it can consistently hit hard and doesn’t require a lot of fiddling. There are decision points with each turn, but players can still win even if they make the wrong move. The biggest weakness of the cover is It matches up poorly against decks with a lot of single-cost Pokemon. The deck has limited ways to draw energy back and stalls when it can’t capture prizes. But even after the release of Surging sparksThe game’s next set, Raging Bolt ex should continue to see success in the current Pokemon trading card game Meta as long as there are two prize Pokemon to attack.
