Tom explains that Naomi has been accused of violating the firm’s security protocol and must resign. Heartbroken, Naomi realizes that Solomon (Jin Ha) has betrayed her. Tom even calls Solomon to confirm that they are able to pull off the takeover. IN Pachinko Season 2, episode 5, Solomon’s attitude towards Naomi changedbut it’s especially wild to see him kill his former lover.

This prompts her to visit Hansu, who sends his men to scour the streets. Sunja fails in front of Hansu, lamenting that everything they did was for Noah.

Despite everything Sunja and Hansu sacrificed for their son, Noah disappears without a trace. Having sold the watch given to him by Hans for pocket money, Noah approaches the owner of a pachinko parlor asking for a job.. The man hesitates, asking Noah if he is Korean. Instead of being honest, Noah lies, insisting that he is Japanese. When the man gives Noah a job, Sunya’s eldest son introduces himself with a completely new name – Ogawa Minato. The episode ends with Noah smiling about his new life before sweeping the street outside the pachinko parlor.

‘Pachinko’ Season 2 Highlights Differences Between Sunya’s Sons
Earlier in the episode, Mozasu and his friends try to scam the local pachinko parlor. The salon owner notices what Mozasu is doing and takes him to Sungja instead of the authorities, mainly because he really likes Sungja’s noodles. This goodwill ultimately changes the trajectory of Mozasu’s life. The salon owner insists that Mozasu is nothing like his older brother Noah. What he means is that Mozasu is not cut out for universitybut work. The man invites Mozas to work for him at the pachinko parlor, and Sunja eventually agrees.

This moment not only sets Mozasu’s future in motion, but also highlights the underlying theme Pachinko Season 2. Because Pachinko Season 2, episode 1, the show once again confirmed how different Sunya’s sons are from each other.. Even as children, Noah and Mozasu deal with the anti-Korean racism they encounter at school in very different ways. While Mozasu openly confronts his differences, Noah evades his oppressors. It’s interesting that the brothers, who are very different, end up in the same place in the season two finale – literally, they’re both in pachinko parlors.

Although this story does not dissuade Sunja from meeting Kato, she does tell her new friend about the incident in the season two finale.
