Why Eve makes the decision with Nick

Warning: Spoilers ahead for the Bad Monkey season 1 finale.

Neville's curse finally comes full circle Bad monkey Season 1, Episode 10, "We're in the Memory-Making Business". Vince Vaughn leads the ensemble cast of Bad monkey which also features Michelle Monaghan, Scott Glenn and Rob Delaney. Bad monkey Episode 9 brought Yancey and Rosa to Andros where they freed Neville and Claspers, Nick and Eve's pilot. After their plan to trick Nick and Eve into flying back to Miami fails, both Yancey and Rosa are nearly killed trying to escape Nick and Eve's wrath, while Gracie embraces her magical powers. Gracie stole Nick's watch Bad monkey Episode 8 only to give it back to Eve after confronting her in the season 1 finale.

The first two episodes of Bad monkey Showcased the interwoven stories of several main characters, including Nick and Neville, which now overlap in interesting ways. Scrubs Elm Zach Braff made a guest appearance Bad monkey Episode 3 as the short-lived drug-addicted doctor O'Peele, while Bad monkey Episode 4 went back in time to discover how Nick and Eve planned their elaborate insurance scam. In a stunning twist, the sociopathic Eve kills her husband Nick by pushing him into the ocean in a wheelchairBecause he will drown. After Nick was impaled by a fishing rod in his spine by Neville in episode 9, he was nearly paralyzed from the waist down and only able to wiggle his toes. Eve relied on Nick to do quite literally anything for her Bad monkey Season 1, which is how he ends up losing his left arm in the first place. Eve constantly asks for reassurance that Nick will take care of her for the rest of their lives, mostly financially, which he does at the expense of his relationship with his daughter, Caitlin.

Nick seemed like a decent enough guy before Eve got a hold of him and sucked every ounce of compassion and consciousness out of his body. Even after Eve killed Heather with the weather and became increasingly demanding of Nick, Nick still stuck by her side, which in the end, led to his death. As a textbook sociopath, Eve eliminated Nick from the picture once she discovered she had no further use for him.

Once Eve felt the pressure of having to take care of Nick after everything he did for her, like buying a yacht, she cut him off like a fishing line. Nick's character is tragic because he falls victim to his greatest weakness, the girl of his dreams. Little did he know, Eve's dream life never involved Nick except being a means to the end of getting rich quick.

Grassi's magic came through in the end

The curse that Neville had set up by Gracie comes to fruition in the Bad monkey Season 1 finale. Even after Gracie returns as the Dragon Queen at the beginning of episode 10, she is unable to escape the vengeful storm she created for herself. Gracie reveals to Ya-Ya in her afterlife that she has lost her way and that the magic was very real all along.

Despite Yassi's best efforts, Eve appears to have gotten away and may be the main villain of Bad monkey season 2 till she"Stifle her lies"As Grassi prophesied, or more specifically, a more. Eve's sudden death alone in Portugal proves that Grassi's magic held a stronger hand of justice than Yancey's gun and badge ever did.

Why Ai could see Gracie after her death

Ai and Gracie have a true soul connection

Ai's biggest motivation over Bad monkey Season 1 is money, which is why he works for Eve and Nick in the first place. He doesn't think too hard about the morality of his work, as if he is being paid properly for it. This would make it seem like Ai is a bad, even soulless person, however Gracia opened up a side of him that made him more human and sometimes lovable. Ai would sing for Gracie and was starting to really care for her when she told him she was leaving Andros. It seems that Egg is not even aware that Gracie is dead during their last conversation in Bad monkey Season 1. The fact that she can see and communicate with Gracie proves that he has a soul deep within his rough exterior.

How Eve turned Yassi's trap against him

Before Eve meets her fate at the end of Bad monkey Episode 10, she is able to trick Yancey by paying off the mayor and local law enforcement, which completely flips Yancey's plan to trap Eve on his head. He asked Director Rhodes, a federal agent, to place a call to Eve that her bank accounts had been frozen, which would bring her to the local bank where Yancey and Neville would be waiting for her.

Yancey successfully baits Eve, who has her own tricks up her sleeve as the local mayor and police close in. This inspires Neville to once again save Yancey as the two steal a cop car and escape. The overarching theme is that Nothing can ever stop Eve other than Gracie's magic and fate.

Bad Monkey leaves the door ambiguously open

Rosa comes back to visit Yancey at the end of Bad monkey Episode 10. The two become intimate and Rosa is still very clearly interested in Yancey but also still upset that he didn't leave Andros with her when she asked him to. A part of Rose understands Yancey's decision, but in the end, Yancey, who stayed behind, did nothing and only put him and Neville in further danger. The door is certainly still open between Rosa and Yancey and the series seems to be leaving it intentionally ambiguous in case Rosa doesn't return in the expected season 2 for whatever reason. There is also the unlikely reemergence of Bonnie, who is again a fugitive avoiding the law And yet and Yancy's number on speed dial.

Yancey needs to swallow his pride for his own sake

As Yancey desperately clings to a rope from the back of Eve's yacht, a montage of characters telling him to let go, including Rosa and Ro, plays over the scene. Yancey hangs on the rope determined to finish this himself but realizes in a moment of clarity that he simply cannot do it. Yancey surrenders and finally gives up his pursuit of Eve, likely because He doesn't even know why he's chasing them anymore When he has so much to lose.

Yancey is forbidden by his superiors to pursue Nick and Eve but does it anyway, again jeopardizing his status at work. He also almost loses Rosa because he has never been able to let go of anything, which sounds like a matter of pride. Jim's words of wisdom from Bad monkey Episode 8 finally hit home with Yancey when he said, "Don't get hung up on something you think you need and lose the stuff that really matters." Of course, Yancey goes back to his same old tricks when Ro shows up with something in his car Bad monkey Season 1's final scene.

What will happen in Bad Monkey Season 2?

Season 2 would adapt the 2016 novel Razor Girl

With Nick and Eve confirmed dead at the end of Bad monkey Season 1, it appears that there will be a new main villain in potential Bad monkey Season 2. It's also unlikely that Caitlin has any real reason to return unless Yancey decided to check on her periodically after her father's death. Claspers, who had a more integral role in the latter half of the season, may be involved in season 2, while Rosa's sister Mel never really established an arc that warrants her return in season 2. Now that Bonnie is back at large, and Michelle Monaghan is one of the series' main pullsHer character is likely to return, as well as Rosa, Neville, Rogelio, Ai, and the narrator, Tom Nowitzki.

Bad monkey Season 2 would adapt the 2016 novel Razor girlThe sequel to Bad monkey Written by Carl Hiaasen. The only official recurring characters in the Razor Girl novel are Yancey, Rosa, Rogelio, and Sheriff Sonny Summers, but since it's a TV adaptation, Bill Lawrence may want to include some of Season 1 favorites such as Bonnie or Plover , and Gracie, or the Dragon Queen, as a ghost.
