Who Tilly is from and why she is so suspicious

Since Tillie (Deborah Grover) arrived in town in ofThe second season, viewers deemed her suspicious. Like Elgin, Randall (AJ Simmons), and Bacta (Angela Moore), Tillie comes to town on the bus. While Elgin is plagued by prophetic dreams, Randall sees visions of cicadas. Clearly, strange things can happen to anyone who comes to town.

In the third episode of the third season, Tillie shares that she has an interest in tarot card readings. While Fatima balks at the idea, Tillie admits that the cards predicted her cancer and her arrival in the township – she just didn’t understand the signs. Tillie seems more open to the supernatural, and to finding silver linings, because of her lived experiences. with nothing to lose, Tilly doesn’t care if others find her funny. In this sense, it seems less likely that she is trying to infiltrate the township and more likely that Tillie is just a nice woman who is strangely suspicious of of Season 3.
