Who is Vi and Jinx's mother? Everything we learned in Arcane

Arcane Season 2, Act II reveals a lot of information about Vi and Jinx's mother, fleshing out her story more than any other installment in the series so far. ArcaneThe cast of characters is certainly extensive, though Vi and Jinx are arguably the center of the show. Most of the characters, even those who may initially seem separate from the two sisters, end up connecting in some way to the story. This was proven by Arcane season 1 finale, with Vi and Jinx's rivalry impacting characters like Caitlyn, Silco, Jayce, Mel, Viktor and many more.

Vander, previously thought dead, returned as Warwick as teased in Arcane Season 2, end of Act I, leading to a major plot in Act II in which Vi and Jinx reunite. Vi and Jinx's mother, Felicia, was an ally of Vander and Silco

The trio sought to make Zaun an independent nation

In Arcane Season 2, Episode 5, "Blisters and Bedrock", a flashback to previous years was shown Arcane season 1. The flashback takes place in Vander's bar in Zaun, The Last Drop, and sees him and Silco talking to a woman named Felicia. As has been known since Arcane In the first season, Vander and Silco were once like brothers as they fought for Zaun's independence from Piltover before the two had a major falling out. In this flashback, Arcane Season 2 reveals that the duo of Vander and Silco were more of a trio with the addition of Felicia, who is Vi and Jinx's mother.

The three are shown talking about the plan to make Zaun independent, celebrating the fact that they are getting closer to making their dream a reality. Felicia then breaks the news that she is pregnant, shocking Vander and Silco, as the baby was not planned. Felicia reveals that she is unable to focus on Zaun other than raising her son, leaving the future of the underground city in the hands of Vander and Silco. Vander states that he likes the name Violet, confirming Felicia as Vi and Jinx's mother.

Vi and Jinx's mother died in the Vander Rebellion

Given that Arcane The first season strongly established that Vander was a father figure to Vi and Jinx, then known as Powder, the question of what happened to Felicia is raised. In fact, this was revealed in Arcane Season 1 too, linked to Vander's quest for Zaun's independence. Years before Arcanebut after the birth of Vi and Powder, Vander led a revolt across the bridge to Piltover as a means of forcing the wealthy city's hand in recognizing Zaun as its own nation.

The rebellion failed and resulted in the deaths of countless Zaunites. This death caused Vander to take a vow of pacifism from then on, which was driven home by Felicia's death. Felicia and her husband, Connell, were among the victims, leaving Vi and Powder orphans. This explains how Vander became Vi and Jinx's adoptive father, and also the tragic fate that befell Vi and Jinx's biological mother in Arcane.
