Of Season 3 does not confirm the identity of the man in the yellow suit. The season 3 finale revealed that the monsters were once people who chose to sacrifice themselves OfThe “Anghkooey” sons of ‘Anghkooey’ in exchange for eternal life, so the man in yellow could potentially be the supernatural being responsible who instigated the sacrifice.

This can allow him more freedom to act during the day and interact with characters through objects such as telephone and radio. Considering OfThe benevolent Boy in White is another mysterious entity who can wander around during the day and communicate with the residents, the the man in the yellow suit could be the antithesis of the Boy in White, causing chaos and evil in the place, instead of trying to help.

He apparently works in the shadows, only appearing when OfThe characters come very close to discovering Fromville’s true nature. Although Tabitha and Jade eventually regained their past life memories, he likely spared them because of their role in the city’s cyclical nature, perhaps already dooming them in his eyes. Meanwhile, characters like Jim knowing too much is dangerous, as he could expose the facade to others not necessarily “touched” by Fromville’s supernatural powers. The man in yellow says “knowledge has a cost” before killing Jim, indicating that he executes those who pose the greatest threat expose Ofsecrets.
