Notice! This article contains SPOILERS for Tulsa King, season 2, episode 8.An all-out war broke out between Dwight Manfredi (Sylvester Stallone) and Bill Bevilaqua (Frank Grillo) in King of Tulsa Season 2, but it’s unclear who is most to blame for starting it. At the end of King of Tulsa Season 2, Episode 8, Dwight and Bill started a gang war and blood was already being spilled. The gang war is the culmination of many long-standing tensions and stories that have been brewing between the cast of King of Tulsa season two has been a long time coming, so it’s unclear who is most responsible for the bloodshed.
In the most recent episode of King of Tulsa In season two, Dwight had to deal with some guilt for letting the gang war get as bad as it was, but he wasn’t entirely to blame for it. Dwight has acquired some enemies this season, such as Cal Thresher (Neal McDonough) and Jackie Ming (Rich Ting), who have contributed to the hostilities, but even they are not the only ones to blame. Even Dwight’s allies, most notably Tyson Mitchell (Jay Will), helped bring things to a boiling point, especially after the end of King of Tulsa Season 2, Episode 7.
Tina convinced Dwight that he set the stage for the gang war with Bill Bevilaqua
Dwight’s bad decisions started the conflict between him and Bill Bevilaqua
After Dwight learned that Bill Bevilaqua was coming after him and the gang for blood, he told Tina (Tatiana Zappardino) to return to New York with her children to keep everyone safe. This upset Tina, who had uprooted her entire life to stay in Oklahoma with her father, so she convinced Dwight that he was responsible for the war, saying, “Who sets the stage for bad things to happen?“Tina’s words, as hurtful as they were, also contained some truth, and Dwight shares some of the blame for her fight with Bill Bevilaqua.
As Tina said, Dwight “set the stage” for all the murders and bloodshed that happened in King of Tulsa 2nd season so far. Dwight could have made peace with Bill when they first met, but instead he antagonized the gangster and ended up killing one of his men. He also got into a battle of egos with Cal Thresher and Jackie Ming, which led to the Navigator exploding and causing Tyson to go after Bill. Dwight made several hasty decisions that ultimately led to conflict, and he could have avoided all the violence in King of Tulsa Season 2 if he had been less reactive at the beginning.
Tyson’s attack still pulled the trigger and triggered the gang war, and Dwight tried to stop him
Tyson’s attack on the Bevilaqua man was the main reason the war started
While Dwight is certainly to blame for the war with Bill Bevilaqua, he is by no means the only reason for it. Tyson’s decision to attack Bill was the biggest reason the war started, and Dwight actively tried to stop him. He told Tyson to wait for hard evidence about who was responsible, and when he found out that Tyson hadn’t listened, Dwight tried to make him go away before he did something stupid. In fact, Dwight even began to calm tensions between Tulsa and Kansas City at the meeting in Atlanta, but Jackie Ming’s car bomb and Tyson’s stubbornness ruined everything.
Bill Bevilaqua and Jackie Ming share as much blame as Dwight
Jackie planted the car bomb that sent Tyson on his quest for revenge and Bill was much more antagonistic than Dwight
Dwight’s side of the conflict also doesn’t hold all the blame, as Bill Bevilaqua and Jackie Ming helped start the war. Besides Tyson, Jackie’s car bomb was the second biggest reason the war started. If it weren’t for the car bomb, Tyson wouldn’t have gone after Bill, and the agreement Bill and Dwight reached at the meeting would still be in effect.. In fact, most of the bloodshed in the season so far has been a result of Jackie’s actions, not Dwight’s.
Dwight’s actions in his first encounter with Bill definitely started the conflict between Tulsa and Kansas City, but Bill was the main reason the conflict escalated into violence.
Jackie’s actions were straightforward enough, but Bill Bevilaqua shares as much blame as Dwight for setting the stage for a gang war. Bill was much more antagonistic than Dwight, although he felt insulted upon their first meeting. Additionally, Bill attacked Dwight and became irrationally furious because Dwight killed Carl, the killer. Dwight’s actions in his first encounter with Bill definitely started the conflict between Tulsa and Kansas City, but Bill was the main reason the conflict escalated into violence. No one is responsible for the gang war in King of Tulsa Season 2, but everyone – including Dwight – has some blame to share.
