Jimmy calls one of the escorts he used to hang out with after Tia's death in Shrinking, Season 2, Episode 11
Kiara was introduced in the first episode of Shrinking
While Jimmy's friends go out to celebrate Brian (Michael Urie) and Charlie's (Devin Kawaoka) adopting a baby, Jimmy stays home and calls Kiara (Ashley Elyse Rogers). In ShrinkingIn Jimmy's first episode, she is in the pool and contributes to waking up Jimmy's neighbor Liz (Christa Miller). She also appeared in the flashbacks in Season 2, Episode 8, with Alice returning home, only to find her father in the kitchen with two companions.

What The Call reveals about Jimmy in Shrinking Season 2
He's still stuck in the past
Jimmy's call to Kiara is a sign of how much he's struggling. When Shrinking began, Jimmy was using Kiara as a way to distract himself from the pain he was desperate not to face. He has faced some of the pain since then and has made tremendous progress, but events with Louis and Alice have caused Jimmy to relapse. This regression is completed when Jimmy tries to return to the same behaviors he exhibited in the first episode of the Apple TV + series.
Despite this low point, Jimmy deserves credit for reaching out to Paul at the end of the episode.
Part of what makes this interaction particularly sad is the juxtaposition between Jimmy and Kiara. Although Kiara has moved on to new things in her life, Jimmy is still stuck in the pastand clinging to old habits that he knows won't help him. Despite this low point, Jimmy deserves credit for reaching out to Paul at the end of the episode, which is a sign of Jimmy's commitment to admitting he needs help, a process that Jimmy will have to continue working on at the end of Season 2. and in Shrinking season 3.
