What is Meg?

A group of underwater scientists are conducting an experiment near the bottom of the ocean when they are suddenly attacked by a 75-foot-long sea creature. It’s the same sea creature that attacked Navy Captain Jonas Taylor (Jason Statham) five years earlier, causing him to abort a rescue mission and costing him his career, marriage and reputation when no one believed his story.

Now, with the monster’s return, Jonas is called upon to take control of the situation again and possibly redeem his good name. However, he will have a challenge: the creature he encountered years before is a megalodon shark, long thought to be extinct. As they race against the clock to rescue the research team, Jonas and his team must use their wits and skills to fight the hungry predator if they are to have any hope of carrying out a successful mission and saving the ocean from danger.
