Chock, a 60-year-old insurance executive from Wichita, Kansas, was one of 24 older single men who traveled to the Bachelor mansion across the country for the chance to date Joan Vassos. Joan, 61, a Maryland private school administrator, made her television debut during The Golden Bachelorwhere she dated 72-year-old Gerry Turner.

Joana left The Golden Bachelor at the beginning of the season, but she was later cast as the season’s first female lead. Bachelor spin-off centered on the love lives of elderly people. On the night of one of the inaugural seasons of The golden maiden, Joan met her 24th single Golden men, including Chock. Joan was a widow and Chock had lost a fiancéso they connected over shared loss. Long before Chock’s fiance passed away, Chock was married to his first wife.
