Everything before Lewis’ death was real in Smile 2

All before Skye encounters the Smile entity

Lewis smiles creepily in Smile 2

The most obvious royal scenes in all Smile 2 those were the ones at the beginning of the film. Smile 2 immediately brought viewers together with Joel (Kyle Gallner) who, at the end of Smilebecame the entity’s new host after witnessing Rose’s suicide. Not wanting to die, Joel planned to kill one of a drug lord’s henchmen in front of him to pass the curse on to someone who, according to Joel, deserved it. However, everything went wrong and the two men died in a shootout, but unbeknownst to Joel, a drug dealer named Lewis Fregoli (Lukas Gage) witnessed everything.

Unfortunately, Lewis became the new host of the Smile entityand he was the link to Skye. Smile 2 it then introduced Skye, showcasing her status as a global pop star and her struggles as she prepares for a new world tour. Although it was believed that Skye had recovered from the accident and her substance use disorder, the truth is that Skye still carried a lot of unresolved trauma and wasn’t ready for another world tour yet.

Despite going to therapy and applying some coping strategies, such as drinking a bottle of Voss water every time she felt the need to use drugs or drink alcohol, Skye gave in and called Lewis to ask for pills. Skye and Lewis went to high school together and he later became her drug dealer, but unfortunately for both of them, Lewis succumbed to the Smile curse and killed himself in front of Skyepassing the entity to her. Until Lewis’ death, everything was real Smile 2.

Skye’s fan meeting, rehearsal, and event speech likely took place at Smile 2

The Smile entity began to blend into Skye’s daily life.

After becoming the new host of the Smile entity, Skye continued with her life, but it soon became clear to her that things were no longer normal. The first signs of the entity taking control came during a meeting with its fansin which a young girl with a frightening smile approached her and stared at her the entire time. During the same meeting, an obsessed fan approached Skye, got her autograph and took a photo with Skye, but he went too far and scared her by showing how obsessed he was with her.

This fan meeting was used by the Smile entity to mess with Skye later, but the meet and greet is believed to have been real. During one of his rehearsals for the tour Skye was also tormented by the entity, but the test was real. In addition to rehearsals and any promotion she had to do on talk shows and meet-and-greets, Skye was also invited to give a speech at a charity event organized by a music executive. The teleprompter crashed while Skye was giving her speech, forcing her to improvise a disastrous speech, but the teleprompter’s failure was a hallucination.

The disastrous charity event is real, but not everything Skye saw actually happened.

The teleprompter started working again and made Skye introduce Paul Hudson, much to her and the audience’s shock. Skye saw “Paul” in the audience, smiling at her and approaching her, causing her to panic, and she accidentally ended up injuring an elderly patron next to her on stage. The disastrous charity event is real, but not everything Skye saw actually happened, like the teleprompter stopping, featuring Paul, and Paul being in the crowd. These events show the Smile entity beginning to take control of Skye’s mind, but not yet taking full control..

Every scene with Gemma didn’t actually happen in Smile 2

Gemma was one of Smile 2’s biggest twists

One of the biggest twists Smile 2 it was the truth about each of Gemma’s appearances. Gemma was Skye’s best friend, but after Skye insulted her via text message, they stopped talking to each other. and their friendship was effectively over. Skye’s mother (and manager), Elizabeth (Rosemarie DeWitt), told her she needed an assistant and should ask Gemma, completely ignoring that they hadn’t spoken in over a year. Skye eventually messaged Gemma in an attempt to reconnect with her, and Gemma called her minutes later.

Skye asked Gemma if she could come to her apartment and she agreed, saying she would be there in about 45 minutes. Shortly after the call, Skye found the date’s obsessive fan completely naked in her apartment, smiling at her. The fan chased Skye around the house and when she got to the door to escape, Gemma was there. Skye questioned how she got there so quickly, but Gemma said an hour had passed since the phone call. Skye told her about Lewis’ death and all the strange things happening around her and asked Gemma to stay the night.

Skye woke up in the middle of the night and opened up to Gemma who was smiling at her and her face suddenly lit up like a car light and made a disturbing sound. Suddenly, it was the next morning, and Gemma appeared behind Skye with two mugs of matcha before Elizabeth arrived. Gemma did not appear again until the third act of Smile 2when she showed up outside the hospital and took Skye to meet Morris. However, during the car ride, Skye received a call from Gemma, who confronted her about her “weird” messages after what she did to her.

This revealed that all of Gemma’s appearances were a hallucination created by the entity Smilethrough which he further manipulated Skye. The truth is that Gemma never called Skye, they never reconciled and she never took her to meet Morris and instead Gemma was left very confused and irritated by Skye’s many unexpected messages and without an apology.

Skye meeting Morris at the bar In Smile 2 was probably real

But not all of her interactions with Morris were real

Morris raises his hand while talking to Skye at the bar in Smile 2

A key character in Smile 2 it was Morris (Peter Jacobson), an emergency room nurse who contacted Skye after following the entity’s trail to her. Skye finally met Morris after the disastrous charity event, and he explained to her how the Smile curse was passed down and his theory about the Smile entity being parasitic. That meant it could probably die without a host, and to prove that, they would have to stop Skye’s heart and then resurrect her. Skye and Morris met at a bar, where Skye ended up being recognized by the patrons. near their table.

Morris appeared again in the third act of Smile 2 when Skye agreed to attempt the death and resurrection test so she could free herself from the entity. However, just when everything seemed to be ready, Morris left the room and the entity began to haunt and psychologically torture Skye before she suddenly found herself on stage on the opening night of her tour. It is understood that Skye and Morris’ first date at the bar was real, but their subsequent interactions weren’tand they never met at an abandoned Pizza Hut to perform the test.

Skye never went to the hospital

One of Skye’s most chaotic moments never happened

One of the most horrific hallucinations caused by the entity was when Skye found her dancers smiling in her apartment, following her around the house and attacking her. The dancers held her down and forced a giant arm down her throat.leaving her unconscious. Skye woke up in a private hospital, with her mother waiting for her to wake up. After a heated argument, Elizabeth smiled at Skye, broke a mirror, and stabbed herself with a shard, making it look like Skye had killed her.

Just like the car ride with Gemma, the entire hospital scene wasn’t real, confirmed by Elizabeth’s appearance alive and well in the show.

In a panic, Skye escaped from her room and almost managed to leave the hospital without being seen, but was caught and took a gun from one of the security guards. Outside the hospital, she met Gemma and they took Elizabeth’s car to see Morris. Just like the car ride with Gemma, the entire hospital scene was not real, confirmed by Elizabeth’s appearance alive and well in the show, and it is widely believed that the arm reaching down Skye’s throat was a visual representation of the entity entering Skye’s mind and taking full control of it.

Skye’s death on her show is real in Smile 2

Unfortunately, Skye’s inevitable fate was real

Although there is a proven way to get rid of the Smile entity and survive Skye couldn’t escape the curse and the horrible fate that came with it. After being attacked by her past, Skye found herself on stage on the opening night of her tour, confused about how she got there and seeing her mother alive and well in the audience. Skye was fully possessed by the Smile entity, which made her smile at the audience as she stabbed herself in the eye with the microphone, just like that. passing the curse on to everyone on the show.

Skye had no control over who she would pass the curse to.

This was the final step in the Smile entity’s plan, and after completely erasing the boundaries between reality and hallucinations for most of the Smile 2, Skye’s death on the show was, unfortunately, all too real. Furthermore, Skye had no control over who she would pass the curse on to and ended up doing it to many, many people.
