The last season of the animation And if…? The series premieres on Disney+ on December 22, 2024, bringing the popular MCU Multiverse Saga show to a close. And if…? the first two seasons premiered in 2021 and 2023, respectively, introducing Jeffrey Wright to the MCU as the voice of the Watcher, a cosmic being who narrates stories from alternate realities across the multiverse. Marvel Animation got to work And if…? season 3 in July 2022, and later confirmed that the next season would be And if…? last hurrah.
And if…? has already introduced viewers to a number of interesting and fantastical variants, including Captain Carter, T'Challa's Star-Lord, Nova Corpsman Nebula, and the morally questionable Strange Supreme. And if…? Season 3's cast includes some of the strangest and most exciting additions, however, launching the series with a bang. And if…? Season 3 will be the animated series' shortest yetbut it's expected to be even more jam-packed with new variants, alternative twists on classic MCU stories, and some new, never-before-seen adventures.

And if…? season 3 will premiere on Disney+ on Sunday, December 22, 2024, with episode 1 arriving on the streaming service at 9pm ET/6pm PT. The next season will follow in the footsteps of And if…? Season 2, releasing one episode per day for eight days during the holiday period. And if…? season 3 will come to an end with an epic finale on December 29, 2024, leaving the future of the Watcher and some of And if…? best variants uncertain.

Both And if…? seasons 1 and 2 comprised nine episodes, but And if…? Season 3 is the shortest installment of the series, with just eight episodes releasing once a day during the 2024 holiday season.. Despite having the lowest number of episodes And if…? Season 3 appears to be gearing up to explore the wilder, wackier universes of the MCU multiverse, rather than getting closer to the MCU narrative itself, as previous seasons have done. This is a very exciting series of episodes for the final season of And if…?. This season, there's just one clear example of the MCU plot altering, as episode 5 will distort the 2021 ending Eternals. Furthermore, each story in And if…? Season 3 will be all-new and original to the animated series, which opens up a plethora of opportunities for Marvel Studios to really experiment. There is speculation that characters from And if…? could be explored further in the MCU's live-action future, so And if…? season three may not actually be the end.

And if… ? is an animated anthology series set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe that features fan-favorite characters including Peggy Carter, T'Challa, Doctor Strange, Killmonger, Thor and more. The new series, directed by Bryan Andrews with AC Bradley as head writer, features exclusive MCU action with a curious twist. The show features Uatu the Watcher, an omnipotent being who watches from afar the events of multiple universes as they unfold, unable to interfere. However, things change when an entity peers beyond the veil, putting the multiverse at risk.
