David's father passed away from Alzheimer's
In May 2021, David returned to Instagram after a long break. He hadn't posted since December of that year. His comeback post after five months away from social media was about “I went back.” David had some terrible news to share. David's father passed away just a few weeks ago. David's father was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in December 2019. It progressed quickly to the point where he wasn't himself most of the time. David's father also had other health problems and doctors gave him two to five years.
However, David's father fought the disease and managed to live more than six years. It was his heart problems that led to his death. David felt it his father was lucky to have died of heart problems. David didn't want his father to live with Alzheimer's for more years as it would have been horrible for him to watch. David explained that people who have seen or know an Alzheimer's patient would be able to understand him. David mentioned that it's not easy to watch a loved one fall apart in terms of their health, especially with something like Alzheimer's disease.
However, there was something that bothered David, it wasn't just his father, in his immediate family, who had fallen victim to Alzheimer's disease. David confirmed that two more people on his father's side of the family also had Alzheimer's. David was afraid he had it too. He revealed that he was having trouble remembering things. “Sometimes at this age I have memory loss.” Still, David hoped for the best.
David was in and out of hospitals for three months in 2023
David had several health problems
In March 2023, David revealed that he was “sick”And so I hadn’t posted on Instagram in months. He said he has been in and out of hospitals over the past three months. David revealed that he was also in the hospital in November 2022. This time, he was dealing with pretty much the same issues. “They don't know what it is,”David added. He was told that his liver was not working well. David remembered to turn “bright yellow” and was starting to get some color back in his face.
“It was crazy when… after the second rock hit. And I was kind of hoping it would pass.”
David mentioned that his gallbladder needed to be removed, but doctors couldn't do that until his liver was working properly. David ran several tests. However, he had to reschedule a procedure because there was no one to pick him up from the hospital after it was done. “I just don't have those kind of friends here,he confessed. His doctors thought he had acute hepatitis. He wondered if it was because he had contaminated water. “I also have something going on with my pancreas and kidneys”, said David.

David felt there was no reason for him to go to a cancer clinic yet. He had blood clots in his lungs and was prescribed blood thinners. In November 2022, David did a similar Instagram Live where he said he was in the hospital for a week. He thought he was having a heart attack. He couldn't walk more than 10 feet without feeling short of breath. David was informed that he had two blood clots in his lungs that were blocking the supply of oxygen to his system. His bile duct was also blocked. His liver and pancreas were also blocked.
“They went in and put in a stent and a sphincterotomy. I’m not sure exactly what this has to do with the gallbladder.”
David passed away in December 2024
David was just 66 years old
