Liz and Big Ed got engaged the next day, but broke off their engagement several times on the show after that. Big Ed and Liz had minor fights that turned into serious arguments, leading to a total of 15 breakups in about two years. Big Ed claimed it was due to Liz's anger issues. Still, Liz managed to turn her life around when she met her new boyfriend Jayson Zuniga on an 8-mile run in October 2023. Liz and Jayson now live in Seattle with fans declaring him to be definitely an upgrade. However, will Liz's happiness be short-lived because of her health problems?
Liz was dealing with depression
Liz had to bear the weight of dating Big Ed
While Liz went back to Big Ed again and again after he dumped her and did so 14 times in total, Liz didn't realize the negative impact it was having on her health. Liz was trapped in a toxic relationship due to her low self-esteem and thinking Big Ed was the best man she could find so far. She even thought about going back to Big Ed after he called off the wedding without informing her. The level of disrespect Liz accepted from Big Ed was alarming.
A year after her split from Big Ed, Liz opened up about her weight loss and how it happened. When a curious fan asked Liz her secret to losing weight, she revealed that she took antidepressants when she was with Big Ed. Liz added that without him, she was able to stop taking antidepressants. Antidepressants made Liz gain “a ton of weight.” Liz replaced them with “a lot of cardio.” She enjoys running and also doing things she enjoys, like watching Netflix shows while using her elliptical.

Does Liz from 90 Day Fiancé have cancer?
Liz sparked cancer rumors on Instagram
In December 2024, Liz posted a photo of herself standing in the Seattle skyline. She looked almost unrecognizable in her bandage dress and revealed she was at a cancer charity dinner. She wrote: “Tonight touched my heart,” in her caption, but what got fans talking now was that Liz looked thin in the photo. Fans asked Liz her secret to losing weight, but this time she didn't talk about her antidepressants or ellipticals. some fans noticed that Liz liked a strange comment from @smil3y.cxwhich said, “It's not that lmao, she just works out a lot. And she's going through chemo.”
Follower of 90 Day Fiance star Liz @torgrams who saw Liz's comment about chemotherapy asked: “Liz liked a comment mentioning chemotherapy, now we're all confused!” About that, @xxcynthialynnxxcommented: “Does she have cancer?” Liz liking the comment doesn't mean anything since she may have only seen the first half about her working out a lot and liked it. It would also be strange for a random fan to learn about her supposed chemotherapy when Liz herself hadn't announced it. Liz has made any official statements about her allegedly undergoing chemotherapy due to some major health issue.
