What is crackling energy and how to use it

Crackling Energy is a Sorcerer status effect in Diablo 4. It is generated by certain skills and discharges automatically when foes approach. It gives extra reactive damage and can even give other benefits. It is an excellent means of improving your Lightning Elemental Damage. However, it will likely be impractical if you focus mostly on fire, ice, or even mixing multiple elements. This makes it important to stack up a lot of crackling energy benefits, or ignore it entirely.

As mentioned, Crackling Energy should only be for a Lightning-based Sorcerer. You will also need to use the specific magic that practices or benefits from crackling energy. One example is a chain lightning build that relies on critical strikes. Still, you should treat any status effect as a bonus instead of your main resource Diablo 4. Your primary lightning attack will take out most of the stronger enemies, while Crackling Energy will clean up mostly stragglers.

Crackling energy skills and items in Diablo 4

Randomly create orbs and absorb their power

You don’t automatically get crackling energy when you’re out in the field exploring. Instead, you need to actively harm an enemy to possibly generate an orb on the ground. At lower levels, it must be a killing blow, making it unreliable against bosses Diablo 4. Higher levels can change this to any form of attack. If an orb appears randomly, run over it to collect it. You can keep up 12 crackling energy orbsAnd any amount past that is lost. Whenever possible, you could try to spend your 12 orb to collect the rest.
