Everything to know The Bachelorette lead Jenn Tran's life after season 21 ends. Jenn is a 26-year-old medical assistant student from Miami. Jenn graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 2020 and had to put her studies on hold when she was selected as The Bachelor competitor. Jenn was born and raised in Hillsdale, New Jersey to parents born in Vietnam, making Jenn a proud first-generation Vietnamese-American. Jenn's parents separated and it was her mother who raised her and her brother.
Jenn was the first Asian-American leading lady in The Bachelorette. Jenn was first seen on season 28 of The Bachelor with Joey Graziadei. The Miami resident became an instant fan favorite, even though she didn't win the season. Jenn finished in fifth place after Joey sent her home during the last rose ceremony, right before her hometown dates. Interestingly, Joey and Jenn became the first two leaders of Bachelor Nation in history to face each other in the same season of Dancing with the stars season 33. Jenn was out of the running for the coveted mirror ball trophy in the Halloween episode.
Jenn's journey as a single woman
Why Jenn's season was historic
Jenn was announced as The Bachelorette for season 21 in March 2024. She was named the new lead in After the Final Rose after Joey's season finale. She is rumored to have been the third and final choice to The Bachelorette after Daisy Kent or Maria Georgas. Jenn created the story as the first Bachelorette party lead to propose to the winner. Jenn's top two finishers were veteran Army Ranger Marcus Shoberg and cargo company owner Devin Strader. She was the one who gave the ring to Devin who, in turn, proposed that she become the winner in the September 2024 final.
Jenn and Devin ended their relationship shortly after the show ended
What happened between Jenn and Devin
However, Jenn and Devin's relationship ended before the finale even aired. During the live portion of the finale, Jenn revealed that Devin was walking away from all the promises he made to her after they left Hawaii. He called her one day and broke off the engagement because he had mentally checked. Jenn claimed she saw Devin following Maria on Instagram the next day. Jenn continued sobbing as she was forced to watch the proposal on After the Final Rose. However, Bachelor NationJenn added that she had no regrets about proposing to the Devin she knew while filming.
“That man no longer exists, and the truth is that I am still the same woman I am.”
Jenn was rumored to be dating Jonathon Johnson
Jen claims Jonathan is a friend
Jenn had sent The Bachelorette contestant Jonathan returned home after Fantasy Suites, choosing Devin and Marcus over him. Viewers weren't thrilled that Jenn sent Jonathan home and not Marcus because Jonathan was already dreaming of a future with Jenn where he would be learning Vietnamese and raising a blended family with her. Jenn was accused of choosing emotionally unavailable men because Marcus admitted he still didn't love her. In October, Jenn said People that she and Jonathan got together after the show and were having “very fun” together.
Jenn confessed that she had grown up “much closer” to Jonathan after the show. Fans speculated that The Bachelorette exes were dating again when Jenn appeared in Jonathan's TikTok videos. Jonathan was seen supporting her in the audience during DWTS. However, Jenn called Jonathan “friend” and a “stone” and expressed gratitude for having someone supporting her in Los Angeles. According to Jenn, her heart wasn't in the space to date anyone“much less Jonathan.”
