Jen initially pleaded not guilty after being charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud and money laundering. However, she ended up pleading guilty to wire fraud in a plea deal that saw her money laundering charges dropped. In January 2023, Jen was sentenced to six and a half years in prison. She ended her season in RHOSLC Season 3, knowing it would be her last appearance for a long time.

Jen claimed that Bravo banned her from coming if she maintained her stance of not talking about her legal troubles. On February 17, 2023, Jen reported to the Bryan Federal Prison Camp, Texas, to begin her five and a half year sentence. The reality star had her sentence reduced by a year. In a report shared by her husband Sharrieff 'Coach' Shah weeks later, Jen revealed that she suffered an anxiety attack while going to prison. The reality TV star didn't think she could make it through the day. However, after a FaceTime call with her oldest son, Jen felt reassured that everything would be okay.
Jen Shah is making a positive impact in prison
After initial fears and skepticism, Jen has surprisingly adapted to life behind bars. According to The Messengerthe reality TV star has found several ways to motivate and mentor other prisoners. Jen has taught GED (General Education Development) and ESL (English as a Second Language) students. Additionally, the reality TV star put her fitness experience into practice, teaching prisoners various exercises, including sit-ups, Pilates, and HIIT training.
Focusing on life after prison, she has counseled and guided other women on their release plans. Jen also developed a resume builder to help other women create their resumes. In her statement to the publication, Jen noted that she found meaning in helping women at the facilities, which also gave her the purpose to do better. Before her arrest, Jen spoke of her regret and determination to atone for her mistake. Hopefully, the RHOSLC star can continue to make positive impacts in the future.
What will Jen Shah do in 2024?
In 2024, Jen is still in prison; however, there were changes to his sentence throughout the year. Shortly after she began her prison sentence, a year was reduced, reducing her to just five and a half years behind bars. Lucky for Jen, she was on her best behavior this year, so another eight months were suspended, changing the date of his prison release to December 19, 2027. This means that at this point in three years, Jen will be a free woman again. Jen is focused on reducing her sentence as much as possible this year (via AND! News).
Despite being behind bars, Jen The Instagram page remained updated. Your husband, Sharrieff appears to be the sole owner of her page, updating her fans on any news from the former RHOSLC star. Sharrieff even shared a video informing her followers of her reduced sentence. Since entering prison, his Instagram page has only been updated a few times.
