What are the new Star Wars treasure planets?

This article contains SPOILERS for episode 3 of Star Wars: Skeleton Crew.Star Wars once again expanded its tradition in Star Wars: Skeleton Crew introducing the Jewels of the Old Republic, a new collection of ancient planets. Skeleton Crew firmly rooted itself in the pirate world of Star Wars galaxy, with his four main children – Wim, Neel, Fern and KB – being from the long-lost planet of Attin. After arriving at the pirate hub of Port Borgo, the children discover that there may be secret treasure on their home world.

This realization only grew in importance in episode 3, which sees Jude Law's character, Jod Na Nawood/Crimson Jack, establishing a “partnership” with the children to get them all to Attin together. At first it appears that Jod wants nothing more than to help lost children, but the audience quickly discovers that he himself is a pirate who is searching for lost treasure. Apparently, however, Attin was not always the only source of secret treasure, as Skeleton Crew introduced an impressive array of lost treasure planets called the Jewels of the Old Republic.

What happened to the others?

The owl-like character named Kh'ymm reveals that Attin is part of the Jewels of the Old Republic, a group of “Wonderful planets kept hidden for your protection.” She goes on to explain that all of these planets were destroyed long ago except Attin, which then became part of children's stories and other legends – including those shared by pirates and fools. It's not known exactly what happened to these planets or why, but it seems like there's a lot of weight to the fact that Attin is now the only survivor.

There are some theories behind its destruction

There are several factors that could have led to the destruction of the other Republic Stones, the first being that someone had a “If I can't have it, no one can“when it came to their treasure and destroyed as many as they could. What may be more likely, however, is that There's something more sinister going on with Attin himself. This seems especially possible given how devious the Overseer and his droids are in that world.

It may be that Attin herself is behind the destruction of these worlds, perhaps wanting to preserve her own safety above others. It could even be that Attin's treasure is the culmination of the riches of all these planetsand which they have accumulated for themselves. This may explain why Attin continues to remain hidden and does not enlighten its inhabitants about what is happening in the surrounding galaxy. Of course, it could also simply be the case that these planets are destroyed by those seeking treasure over time, such as the greedy pirates in Skeleton Crew.
