We’re All Dead Season 1 Finale Is a Worrying Sign for One Season 2 Couple

Nam-ra and Su-hyeok’s relationship in We are all dead season two could be in trouble given how the first season of Netflix’s zombie K-drama ended. With the show already covering all of the original material, it can be difficult to theorize what will happen next. We are all dead season 2. However, the season 1 finale gives some clues about the series’ future, especially when looking at the differences between We are all dead episode 12 and the webtoon. In Now in our schoolNam-ra was considered the key to healing.

In the Netflix K-drama, Nam-ra’s return had nothing to do with a potential cure and more to do with the existence of other hambies in Hyosan. Although these characters are not shown, Nam-ra mentions that she has found others like her. The ending implies that these other hambies helped Nam-ra control her powers, which is why she seemed so much happier and peaceful compared to the last time we saw her. Although Nam-ra’s reunion with her friends was emotional, she may not be able to get back together with them.

Nam-ra will have bigger concerns in We’re All Dead 2 than reuniting with her friends

Nam-ra is now living with other Hambies

According to Nam-ra, The other Hambies who survived Hyosan’s destruction need help. The military certainly doesn’t distinguish between traditional and asymptomatic zombies, which means every surviving hambie is now a target. The final episode of We are all dead The first season doesn’t make it clear how long Nam-ra has lived with these other hambies and how organized they are, but the fact is that she now has new friends to worry about. Nam-ra can live up to her title of “class president” and become the leader of the hambies.

This means that for now, Nam-ra won’t have time to get back together with her friends and reconnect with Su-hyeok. Furthermore, it is safe to say that a hambie will never be accepted into a quarantine camp. Unless Su-hyeok and the others abandon the camp, they won’t be able to stay with Nam-ra. Between Nam-ra’s new hambie friends and the fact that she can never get into military camp, I can’t see an easy situation for her and Su-hyeok getting together in Season 2.

There was a bittersweet note to Nam-ra and Su-hyeok’s reunion at the end of episode 12. They exchanged eye contact but did not address each other, suggesting that it may not be easy for them to reconnect in season 2. The last time Su-hyeok and Nam-ra saw each other, she almost killed On-jo during a moment of anger caused by the zombie virus. For one, Nam-ra can now apparently control her powers. On the other hand, it is too early for the Hyosan High School survivors to have a happy ending.

Nam-ra and Su-hyeok’s relationship was one of the best things about All of Us Are Dead

Su-hyeok and Nam-Ra were right for each other

All of Us Are Dead's Lee Su-hyeok holds Nam-ra as she transforms into a zombie.

While On-jo and Cheong-san were technically the main couple in We are all deadthe relationship between Nam-ra and Su-hyeok was one of the highlights of the show. It’s not uncommon for the secondary couple in a K-drama to steal the show, and while the other characters are also interesting, the unique dynamic between a former bully and an antisocial student was very interesting. Su-hyeok learned to stand up for those in need instead of hurting people, while Nam-ra was slowly opening up to new friends. They played a surprisingly great match.

THE We are all dead The characters derisively referred to Nam-ra as “class president” because, despite her being the real class president, she had no friends there. Su-hyeok was Nam-ra’s first friend on the show, or at least the first person who actually tried to be her friend. What was already an interesting dynamic became even more fascinating when Nam-ra was infected by Gwi-nam. Su-hyeok defended her and put her life at risk several times to prove that Nam-ra had not yet become a zombie.

Cheong-san may soon find himself in a situation very similar to Nam-ra’s – a hambie who is unable to reunite with his friends and must protect himself from the military.

Naturally, it can be difficult to develop a relationship when one of the people involved is a half-zombie who craves human flesh. Nam-ra almost attacked Su-hyeok twicebut he was always there for her no matter what. While On-jo and Cheong-san had a “will they, won’t they” arc, Su-hyeok and Nam-ra’s story was more straightforward and possibly more emotional. That’s why it will be so bittersweet if they can’t actually be together in season two.

Su-hyeok and Nam-ra aren’t the only ones We are all dead couple that may not yet have a happy ending. The chances of On-jo and Cheong-san getting together are even slimmer, especially considering one of them is probably dead. At the end of We are all dead season 1, Cheong-san sacrifices himself to save On-jo and the rest of Gwi-nam’s groupwho was seeking revenge against Cheong-san for most of the show. This happened right after Cheong-san confessed his love for On-jo, meaning their relationship ended before it even started.

That being said, it’s hard to believe that Cheong-san is dead. Between her body not being shown and Yoon Chan-young promoting season 2 when it was announced, I believe Cheong-san will return in some form. A popular theory is that Cheong-san will return as hambie in We are all dead 2which is the only reasonable way to explain how he could have survived both the fall and the bombing of the city. Cheong-san’s arm was scratched by Gwi-namwhich had already infected Nam-ra and turned her into a hambie as well.

Cheong-san may soon find himself in a situation very similar to Nam-ra’s – a hambie who is unable to reunite with his friends and must protect himself from the military. Assuming Cheong-san is now a hambie, it remains to be seen whether he will have control over his powers or whether he will be as unstable and dangerous as Nam-ra was for most of the first season. Anyway, it won’t be easy for On-jo and Cheong-san to be together.

Not all hope is lost for Nam-Ra and Su-Hyeok in All Of Us Are Dead Season 2

Despite all the challenges surrounding their relationship, there is still a chance that Nam-ra and Su-hyeok could be “endgame” in We are all dead. Firstly, the fact that Nam-ra now controls her powers makes things a lot easier and means that she won’t be a threat to Su-hyeok and her other friends. Furthermore, even if Nam-ra can’t join them at the military camp, I’m sure On-jo and the others wouldn’t mind leaving quarantine to be with Nam-ra. In fact, they have already done this.

We are all dead the first season ended with Nam-ra jumping off the roof, which should be good for her given her powers. We don’t know where her story goes, but I assume the rest of the group won’t be living safely inside the military camp for much longer. The main characters of We are all dead will have to reunite eventually, which is why there is still hope that Su-hyeok and Nam-ra will become a suitable couple.

All of Us Are Dead is a horror and thriller series based on the webtoon by creator Jeon Bae-soo. Set in a South Korean school, a scientist father trying to find a way to protect his son from bullies accidentally creates a serum that uses the fear of humans to turn them into zombies. Loose at the school, the surviving students and staff find themselves isolated from the outside world and must now fight to survive the onslaught of infected people – and each other.
