Venom: The Last Dance hit a franchise record low in its opening weekend. THE Venom: The Last Dance the release is set to conclude the trilogy, starring Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock and the titular alien symbiote. It takes place three years after 2021 Let there be carnagewhich in turn came out three years after the premiere of the original film in 2018, starting Sony’s Spider-Man Universe, a franchise loosely linked to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and which tells the stories of villains and anti-heroes from the original. Spider-Man Comics without featuring the hero himself.
Put Deadlinefrom Saturday morning, Venom: The Last Dance is projected to take the top spot at the domestic box office with a projected three-day total of $52 million in its opening weekend. Although it tops the weekend charts, this marks a record low for the Tom Hardy franchiseas the first installment opened to US$80.2 million in 2018 and Let there be carnage debuted with an even better $90 million despite a pandemic-depressed 2021 box office. This new installment will fall short of both films by tens of millions of dollars.
