Boruto: Two Blue VortexesWhile it was a step up from Part 1 in many ways, it still had some moments that fans found disappointing. However, one of the biggest ones has just been resolved and it’s gone from a disappointing moment to a moment where fans can look forward to learning the truth about it later in the series.
In chapter #15 of Boruto: Two Blue VortexesKawaki and Boruto meet again and instead of fighting, they talk about what is happening and the consequences of the attack on Konoha. While the biggest thing to come out of the discussion was an alliance to take down Jura and the God Trees, another big bombshell dropped was that Boruto couldn’t use Karma because Momoshiki almost took control the last time he did.
Boruto: Two Blue Vortex’s biggest fight was ignored, leaving fans disappointed
The manga will show the full fight eventually
This happened when Boruto and Sasuke were attacked by Code and his soldiers, and although Sasuke told him to flee, Boruto must have returned to action, but Momoshiki interfered. This revelation has some interesting consequences, one of which is revealing that Boruto didn’t actually try to escape. When the chapter was released, fans were apparently upset that Boruto left Sasuke to fight Code and several enemies alone, especially now that Sasuke didn’t have his Rinnegan and wasn’t as powerful. This new chapter shows that Boruto defied his master’s orders to try to save him.
However, the biggest consequence is that Momoshiki is an even greater threat than ever. Although the Karmafication process was stopped when Momoshiki revived Boruto, there is still the threat of him taking control when Boruto is low on chakra. And now, there is another opportunity for Momoshiki to possess him when Boruto uses his Karma or when he is awakened subconsciously, due to resonating with Kawaki’s Karma.
While every time Momoshiki has taken control of Boruto has been devastating and caused chaos, his possession of Boruto now will be even worse. Momoshiki can use Boruto’s jutsuso if he were to emerge, he would be able to use Boruto’s new arsenal of techniques such as Rasengan Uzuhiko and Flying Thunder God, which would be devastating, to say the least. Additionally, Momoshiki is a master at chakra control, so he would easily make these attacks much more destructive. Boruto is currently one of the strongest ninjas alive, and if he went crazy, no one could stop him.
Boruto and Sasuke vs Code weren’t shown for a reason
The full flashback will be revealed in due course
The flashback to how Sasuke got caught in a tree was disappointing, to say the least. It felt very short and anticlimactic, especially considering how important the fight was and how much respect Sasuke deserved in the story. However, this is intentional and serves a purpose, as shown in the recent chapter. The revelation that Boruto was unable to use his Karma in the fight means the series isn’t over yet, showing the full flashback to Sasuke’s final fight.
It will also be interesting to see how Sasuke fights, as he has lost his greatest strength. Although he still has his Mangekyo Sharingan and access to more chakra, as his Rinnegan used to deplete his chakra very quickly, he will likely fight well. Most of all, seeing Boruto and Sasuke fight side by side for the first time would be a great moment. Despite the odds being against him, this battle probably won’t be too one-sided. Sasuke was responsible for cutting out one of Code’s eyes, meaning he stood his ground against him despite the huge difference in power levels.
Boruto’s biggest mystery is still Momoshiki’s role
Momoshiki is planning something sinister
In addition to Boruto not being able to use Karma for fear of losing control, he also reveals that Momoshiki was silent for three years. This is really ominous since not only are Momoshiki and Boruto’s thoughts intertwined, but Momoshiki has always been talkative and antagonized Boruto a lot. The fact that he has been quiet for so long can only mean that he is planning something and biding his time, waiting for the opportunity to strike. As someone who has been alive for centuries, few are as patient as him.
While Jura is the current main villain and Kawaki is being considered as the next antagonist, Momoshiki is possibly the most dangerous of them all. He is by far the cruelest of the three and possibly as powerful as Jura. He is also persistent, and even after Boruto refuses to give up hope, he is still planning something. What his plans are and what his role in the story is are shrouded in mystery, but Momoshiki’s return to the manga will be one of the most chaotic events in the series.
Boruto is gradually ending a lot of criticism
Each chapter of the series continues to resolve fans’ criticisms and doubts. How Boruto quickly became powerful has been explained, the effects of Omnipotence are seen in action, Sarada’s role has increased, the reason for Kawaki’s impotence has been revealed, and now it’s been shown that there’s a good reason why the Sasuke vs Code flashback was so short. . Hopefully the series will continue this trend and resolve other issues, such as Code’s ongoing losing streak.
In just a little conversation, Boruto: Two Blue Vortexes managed to create several interesting plots that will certainly bring hope. The new series ended its first arc with a bang, forming an alliance between Boruto and Kawaki, showing that there is more to Sasuke’s final fight and revealing that there is one more villain that readers should know about and anticipate his appearance.
