What happened in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter #15?
A new villain is born and brothers form an alliance
The chapter begins with a flashback to Matsuri’s attack on the Hidden Sand and Gaara’s fight to protect Shinki, Yodo and Araya. By forcing them to retreat, Shinki broke free from Gaara’s sand and sealed him with his Magnetic Sand to protect him. Unfortunately, a Claw Grime bites Shinki, and that’s how he turns into a new God Tree called Ryu. Back in the present, Kankuro and Shikamaru continue their conversation, with Kankuro explaining what happened and how Shinki’s sealing jutsu still protects Gaara. He asks Shikamaru for help and Shikamaru agrees to share any information once they finish the investigation.
Back at the Divine Trees hideout, Ryu notices something strange and uses his Magnetic Sand to pull out someone hiding, and discovers that Code was spying on them. Code is angry that they are not working on devouring an Otsutsuki, to which Jura responds that he has other matters to attend to first. This angers Code and he attacks Jura, but is quickly humiliated after his arm is ripped off. Because of your gratitude to Code, Jura tells him to find Boruto and his unknown ally and kill them.and he will give you the chakra fruit in return. Code leaves furious and furious, but agrees to the deal and promises he will have the last laugh.
After Code leaves, Jura asks Ryu to listen to his instincts to see who he wants to devour. Ryu doesn’t hesitate to tell his father, Gaara. The scene returns to Konoha, where Kawaki goes to the top of the Hokage statue to find Boruto. The two discuss what is happening and the threat of Momoshiki and the God Trees. Boruto also tells Kawaki to talk to Amado about the limits of his powers and asks him to join forces to overthrow Jura. Realizing the gravity of the situation, Kawaki sets aside his goal of killing Boruto and decides to unite one last time to defeat a greater enemy.
A new mission begins in a distant land
The next arc will take place in the land of wind
The first arc of Boruto: Two Blue Vortexes concluded a year after the start of the series, and the next one begins in chapter #16. As revealed in the official preview, the next arc will take place in the Land of Wind, with a mission led by Konohamaru, presumably to rescue Gaara. However, the chapter will not go into action yet, as there will also be a focus on the consequences of the attack on Konoha and steps to combat the situation.
Another preview revealed Shikamaru’s conversation with Eida about the situation, and how he talked to an unknown person through a frog. He deduced that it was Kashin Koji and asked Eida to confirm it. Things are getting interesting as more players join the fray, making the possibilities for the next arc endless. Kawaki’s showdown with Amado could also happen, and his time to finally shine is coming.
As the arc focuses on the mission to rescue Gaara, Ryu will likely be the arc’s main villain. Whatever the path Boruto: Two Blue Vortexes decides to pursue this storyline, it has proven that it deserves a second look after proving how serious the first arc is. Chapter 16 will decide the course of the mission reminiscent of the beginning of Naruto’s time jump, and the unfolding of this chapter will be interesting.
