We are getting closer and closer to meeting several important characters
This update brings the show closer to the release of its new episodes, and first impressions of the tournament will likely come soon. The first major addition to Twisted metal cast in season 2 has been confirmed as the Emmy nominee Barry star Anthony Carrigan. He will play Calypso, the fundamental video game character. Described as the mysterious and charismatic creator of the dangerous tournament, Calypso invites all assassins, vigilantes and anyone else to participate. In the video games the series is based on, Calypso offers a prize to the winner. But his gift is not what it seems, often coming in the form of a cruel twist.
Carrigan, who played NoHo Hank on the HBO series Barryis one of several new additions. Saylor Bell Kurda (High School Musical: The Musical: The Series), Michael James Shaw (Undead) and Lisa Gilroy (Jury Duty) join the ensemble, as do Richard de Klerk, Tiana Okoye and Patty Guggenheim, who starred as Madisynn in She-Hulk. Although character details are under wraps, it is known that characters like Axel, Dollface and Mr. Grimm will be considered in season 2.
The additions come after a busy event Twisted metal end of season 1. A showdown between John Doe and Campbell's character Raven is meant to set the stage for the deadly tournament that fans of the video game will be eager to see. This would help explain the flurry of new faces and the introduction of Calypso. With filming now wrapped, previews will likely fall in early 2025and the launch will take place soon, sometime in the summer or autumn of the year.
The tournament is crucial
