Transformers reveals its “worst” Decepticon that no one has ever met before

Transformers is adding a new character to its lineup, and he’s already staking his claim as the “THE WORST BOT EVER”, earning the title of ultimate black sheep of the Decepticons. If you’re unsure about committing your reading time and comic book budget to this unexpected new bot, don’t worry: you’ll see it for the first time during Free Comic Book Day.

Despite being driven away by the Decepticons, Ballpoint is determined to prove his worth by defeating the Autobots alone.

TRANSFORMERS: the worst bot of all time, special for free comics day is a collaboration between Skybound Comet, Image Comics and leading toy and game company Hasbro. Hence, fans can probably also look forward to a future Ballpoint action figure. Skybound Editorial Director Alex Antone provided more information on the announcement, revealing that Ballpoint will be the company’s first original Decepticon. He described the character as “sincere and hilarious”, adding, “We can’t wait to show the world how terrible he is.”

The series will follow Ballpoint’s misadventures after he loses his Decepticon title by his fellow bots after a disastrous attempt to defeat the Autobots. Despite being driven away by the Decepticons, Ballpoint is determined to prove his worth by defeating the Autobots alone. With the synopsis hinting at a series of comedic misadventures, fans can expect plenty of laughs as Ballpoint struggles to achieve its goal. The lingering question, however, remains: will he ultimately succeed?

The Decepticons are known for being bad… but Ballpoint is actually the worst – the biggest failure of all. After the last attempt to overthrow the Autobots went horribly wrong, he was kicked out of the Decepticons for good!

Will Ballpoint be able to prove himself by defeating the Autobots alone? Or will he continue to fail and discover that there is more to being the “best” than meets the eye?

Although little art has been released for this series so far main cover gives fans their first look at Ballpoint’s character design– and it’s already perfection. Although Ballpoint is not in its alternate form, its ballpoint pen-inspired features are still unmistakable. With a color scheme dominated by muted red and yellow and a small stature that resembles a pen, it’s easy to see why this bot doesn’t earn the respect of its fellow Decepticons. However, readers will soon discover that there is more to this unusual Transformer than it seems, making the series premiere highly anticipated.
