Ruby Melancholy had an unconventional beginning. The character began as a sketch by artist Martin Hsu, then became a clothing and stationery line before becoming an animated series. The show was produced in Canada and ran for two seasons. It revolves around the titular little rag doll and her goth friends.
The Gothic aesthetic is evident in Ruby Gloom animation style, which harkens back to the dark animation that came before it, such as Invader Zim and The Nightmare Before Christmas. Ruby herself is a rag doll that looks like a child's version of Sally from the Tim Burton classic. Black and red dominate the show's color palette, which is unique for a children's show, and adds to its artistic vibe, making it a great alternative for kids who don't like Disney Channel's bright color palettes.. Although Ruby Melancholy isn't anything groundbreaking, it's still worth watching for fans of gothic animation.

Beetle juicethe animated series, is just as extravagant as its namesake film. The series continued the film's story as Lydia Deets and Beetlejuice embarked on adventures between the mortal world and the Nemworld seen in the film. Many of the creative forces behind the film, like Tim Burton and Danny Elfman, also worked on the cartoon.
Beetle juice It captures the magic of the film while remaining distinct and more kid-friendly. The concept of Beetle juice translates because it is based on fantasy. Arguably, bringing Nemworld to life through animation works better than live action. Animators can create any type of monster or background they want without worrying about the limitations of current technology. Even though the show isn't seen as a classic like the movie, their creativity and stunning visuals deserve to be remembered.
