SHADES OF RED

BRICK

CHERRY

BROWN

RUBY

This category was pretty easy to identify once I started looking at the words. At first the words may seem like they have nothing to do with each other but like someone obsessed with the store's office supplies aisle and art supplies in general These words are used to describe red in many different types of supplies. As soon as I spotted MAROON, the gears turned and I joined the category while spotting the remaining reds one by one.

DATE

DURATION

LOCATION

TIME

When I saw DURATION and TIME, I had a strong suspicion about this category, but I just wasn't sure when I didn't see anything else that had the same meaning. Turns out it wasn't about time periods but rather a variety of details that people need when scheduling appointments. Fortunately, I got them all together before wasting a guess elsewhere, but I wasn't sure I was right until I saw the correct answer appear.

DIFFERENT QUANTITIES OF HAIR

HEAD

LOCK

WIRE

WISP

This is the one that was a little difficult because I was under the impression that it was more about hair types and FUR made more sense to me in this category than HEAD. However, after some guesswork I was able to deduce the correct order, and luckily I did so before running out of guesswork. LOCK, STRAND and WISP always made more sense to me, but seeing the category name made HEAD much more convincing.

TREE HOMOPHONES

BEACH

COAT

PAIR

YOU

This last one would be difficult to guess in advance, as you would not only have to know a fair amount of tree types, but also know what they sounded like and associate those things when reading those words. FUR and BEACH are probably the most recognizable depending on what part of the world you are in, although I do love a good PAIR tree. Still, even with my pretty decent knowledge of trees, it was difficult to figure out this category.
