Tips for Today’s Connections categories
October 10 #486
If you’re looking for clues for today’s puzzle, you’ve come to the right place. Today’s puzzle isn’t too hard, at least comparatively, but may also give you a false sense of security. There are also two categories that will be difficult to resolve without appropriate cultural knowledge, which may be the case quite often, but is certainly the case today.
- One category is dedicated to human anatomy.
- One category concerns words that a certain group of people would say.
- One category consists of four words that are of the same type.
- One category is all the homophones of certain sounds made famous in the song.

BODY PARTS |

HAND |
EYE |
HIP |
LEG |
This category is the simplest and most obvious today. Eat there are no other actual body parts in the rest of the puzzle.and probably it is enough to see an ARM and a LEGS to understand. HIP and EYE are not limbs; Luckily, this category doesn’t just look for limbs, but any body parts in the puzzle. This is a great start to the rest of the puzzle, which isn’t that easy, but it’s always nice to get off to a good start.

COOL, ON THE SLEN OF THE 80’S |

---|---|---|---|
BAD |
FLY |
SICK |
RAD |
It’s not that obvious, depending on your familiarity with the old slang. “BAD” certainly doesn’t seem like it should mean “cool,” but there are often many of those words for each generation as they have weird terms for that meaning. ILL is in a similar position, but RAD and FLY are probably the most popular slang words for cool.. People may be confused about which words to choose, but no other words in the puzzle are included here. BIG, perhaps, but I don’t know that this word is specifically from the 80s.

Blue Answers: Revealed and Explained
This movie doesn’t automatically scream “cinema” to me, but ELF is probably the biggest clue. There are no other words in this group that are associated with the idea of elves, Christmas or fantasy, so this might make you think of the movie. HER and SAW are recognizable movie names when you think about them, but BIG can be a little more complicated. I’m not sure if any of the other words are monosyllabic movie titles, but none of them stand out as such. Hopefully this is a case where knowing the category is all you need.

TEA |
The lyrics to this song are quite famous, and The Sound of Music is one of my favorite musicals. Although these words are spelled differently from musical terms, they are all homophones. The DOE and TEA think they might get attention the fastest, but you’ll probably have to find out what the category is to guess it until the very end of the puzzle. You have a much better chance of guessing everyone else, and you want to make your best guess every time you hit submit.
