Thundercats lore is changed forever as the famous ‘Sword of Omens’ finally meets its deadly opposite

Warning: contains spoilers Thundercats #9!Thundercats the tradition changed forever with the introduction of the destructive opposite of the Sword of Omens. The main weapon of Lion-O, the leader of the Thundercats, the Sword of Omens served him well on many occasions in the team’s fight against Mumm-Ra in the Third World. Thundercats #9 was written by Declan Shalvey and drawn by Drew Moss. The Mutants faced the Thundercats in battle. The Sword is powered by the Eye of Thundera, a mystical jewel whose origins are lost to time. As seen in the classic Thundercats cartoon, the Eye of Thundera had a number of abilities and powers, which were generally dictated by the episode’s plot. As a result, the exact scope of the Eye’s powers was never defined, but perhaps its most notable ability was the “Sight Beyond Sight,” which revealed hidden truths.

Calica, who was introduced to Thundercats previous lore in the race turned out to be a traitor, meaning the team better keep an eye on Apex.
