Three years after the failure of its TV show, Star Wars finally comes up with a way to rescue Boba Fett

Notice! This post contains SPOILERS for Star Wars: Skeleton Crew episode 5

I think Star Wars just created a really cool way to rescue Boba Fettthree years after his controversial series. As seen in The Book of Boba Fettthe titular and legendary bounty hunter has apparently chosen to leave his bounty hunting career behind in favor of becoming the new daimyo of Tatooine, based in the place once owned by the late Jabba the Hutt. However, Star Wars the latest show may have created a much better future for Fett.

As seen in Skeleton Crew episode 5, Jude Law's Jod Na Nawood encounters an old bounty hunter associate as he and the lost Attin children search for pirate captain Tak Rennod's secret lair that is buried beneath the Skull Ridge Mountain Hotel & Spa on the planet Lanupa. As such, this bounty hunter has made some notable digs at the Bounty Hunters Guild. To that end, I think the future of Grêmio could involve Boba Fett himself, which could redeem his controversial Star Wars show three years later.

Skeleton Crew's new bounty hunter is working for a “private client”

Pokkit is not interested in working for the guild

Pokkit in Skeleton Crew, Episode 5

Having known Jod Na Nawood as "Dash Zentin", the bounty hunter named Pokkit is surprised to see his former associate who once left her "drowning in a pit of leeches". However, she also reveals that she no longer works for the Bounty Hunters' Guild and its "low-end jobs." Instead, she is now working for a private client, who appears to pay her very well, seeing as how She's hanging out at an expensive luxury spa in this new episode of Skeleton Crew.

Pokkit ends up reporting Jod to Brutus to claim the bounty on Nawood's head, although it is notable that she has left the Guild behind. She certainly wasn't the only one to do this in the New Republic Era, as Din Djarin is now an independent contractor working with the New Republic's Adelphi Rangers. Even Greef Karga left the Guild to become magistrate of Nevarro once again. Combined with the fact that the Guild has begun hiring multiple hunters for the same job in the midst of a galactic recession, all signs point to the Bounty Hunters' Guild being on the brink of collapse.

Could Boba Fett be creating a rival guild?

A new guild for a new era of Star Wars

If the established Bounty Hunters' Guild is truly on the verge of falling apart, it could become an excellent opportunity for someone like Boba Fett to intervene. Using his resources as a daimyo on Tatooine, Boba Fett could create a new bounty hunter guild to replace his old one, one that paid better and had more respect for its members.. By all accounts, it certainly looks like it could be more of a branded future for the legendary bounty hunter, rather than simply living happily ever after as the glorified mayor of Mos Espa.

There's a lot of narrative potential behind Boba Fett creating a rival guild in Star Wars future. After all, one could imagine that the existing Bounty Hunters Guild wouldn't give up without a fight even if it was collapsing. This could lead to an all-out bounty hunter war, which has all the ingredients for a very exciting and dynamic war. Boba Fett book Season 2 introduces hunters new and old, while keeping Boba Fett front and center (unlike the first season, when he was overshadowed by Din and Grogu).

I would love to see Star Wars give Boba Fett that future

A Much Cooler Destination That Could Redeem Your Show's Finale

Boba Fett alongside Fennec Shand in The Book of Boba Fett

Boba Fett creating a new guild feels like an epic next step, one that could redeem the ending of his show, which I found rather lackluster and disappointing for one of my favorites. Star Wars characters. It would also fit perfectly with Fett's history in the non-canon Legends, where Fett actually created a rift in the Guild, starting some reforms and an all-out bounty hunter war during the original trilogy. I need Boba Fett to return in a much more satisfying form than his show provided three years ago. This seems like the most exciting way to Star Wars to do this.
