What happened in the Thousand Year Blood War Part 3 Episode 11?

Lille Barro is finally defeated

Nanao wielding his Zanpakuto, which radiates light.

After using his Bankai against Lille Barro, Kyoraku thought he had won, only to be hit by a beam of light right in the chest. Lille somehow survived the Bankai and were on the attack against their weakened captain. Nanao Ise returned to the battlefield to help his captain and begged for his Zanpakuto to be given to him. It turns out that Nanao doesn't have a personal Zanpakuto, but rather one that was passed down through her family, and Kyoraku was given it to hide.

Nanao began fighting Lille and was able to use her Zanpakuto to reflect her attacks back at him. In flashback, it is told how Kyoraku's brother fell in love with Nanao's mother and soon died due to the Ise family curse. Nanao's mother asked Kyoraku to hide the Zanpakuto, hoping that this would prevent her curse from affecting Nanao. Soon, it is revealed that this directly led to his death by execution for “losing” such an important object. Nanao remembers how she met Kyoraku and was assigned to his Squad.

Barely able to stand up after an attack, she reflects Lille's power once more, with Kyoraku behind her supporting her. This time, Lille Barro is destroyed by his own attack and begins to crumble and turn into feathers.

Bleach Thousand-Year Blood War Part 3, Episode 12 turns into a friend

Bazz-B faces Haschwalth

Haschwalth is threatened by Bazz-B

Episode #12 of Thousand Year Blood War Part 3 is titled “Friend,” and this will actually follow the Quincy deserter as they challenge Yhwach and his remaining men. In particular, Bazz-B will face his former friend, Jugram Haschwalth, whom he now sees as an accomplice in his betrayal. Bazz-B and Haschwalth have a long history, and the episode will likely take a lot of flashback time, revealing how the two met and became friends.

Bazz-B isn't the only Quincy defector, however. Liltotto Lamperd and Giselle Gewelle will also face Yhwach himself. The two Sternritter have an uphill battle ahead of them, as even Ichigo barely managed to make a dent against the Quincy leader. Will their efforts to resist Yhwach's betrayal prevail or will they be doomed before they even lay eyes on him? Their battle certainly seems hopeless from the outside, but a Quincy may be just what is needed to defeat a Quincy.

Episode 12 will be the last episode before a two-part finale, ending the third part of the series on a high note. Each episode of Thousand Year Blood War Part 3 has been exceptional in some ways, and the series continues to impress, adding substantial new content as well as perfectly adapting the manga's story with only minimal changes to the original.
