Another big takeaway from the cliffhanger at the end of the last issue is Forge's reaction to his encounter with an unknown new version of Ororo. The two mutants' romance is an important part of their Marvel stories. and although they've both had other relationships, Forge is understandably still a little fixated on his lost love. Their relationship became more popular when Lifedeath adaptation to X-Men '97 highlighted Forge and Storm's whirlwind romance, but returned to Marvel Comics when Forge joins Ororo as an Omega-level mutant and leads his X-Force team.

X-Force should try to make sense of the different personalities and personalities of these different characters based on what they know, since Forever yesterday Avengers are back to shake up Marvel continuity once again.
