This Walking Dead character’s survival is nothing short of a miracle

All over UndeadDuring its 14-year run on television, there have been countless character deaths across various shows, but despite how many skilled survivors have fallen to the apocalypse, one unlikely candidate is miraculously still alive. The Walking Dead: Daryl arguably had the best supporting cast of all the spinoffs, but Ash didn’t seem like the type of character who would have much longevity after his introduction. The pilot spent most of the outbreak isolated in his private safety zone before Carol found him, and although he managed to survive alone, Ash’s death seemed inevitable in Daryl Dixon.

Having been introduced in the season 2 premiere, Ash played an important role in the spinoff by taking Carol from America to Europe. While initially welcoming, the new addition was also cautious and didn’t want to be around people after losing her son, but eventually agreed to help Carol, who lied about her daughter being in France. When the truth was finally revealed, it created animosity between the pair, but Ash still took Laurent to the Commonwealth during the season 2 finale, with his story ending in heaven, meaning he is still alive against all odds.

Ash seemed certain to die in Daryl Dixon’s second season (based on the story of The Walking Dead spinoff)

The Walking Dead spinoffs have a habit of killing off new characters

Given the frequency Undead spinoffs killed off their new faces, Ash’s fate seemed sealed the moment he met Carol, making his survival all the more impressive. With the survival of each show’s protagonists almost guaranteed, the spinoffs have tried to keep things interesting with frequent deaths of supporting characters. Although this added greater risks to each project, Undead Spinoffs also wasted some characters despite having enormous potential. Those who live killed virtually all significant additionswhile Dead City There are only a handful of new survivors still alive who are not antagonists.

In contrast, Daryl Dixon Season 1 kept most of the supporting cast, but Season 2 was much more ruthless. Sylvie and Isabelle Undead the deaths were big surprises, while Anna, Genet, Losang and Jacinta also died despite being main characters. As a result, it was difficult to imagine Ash, of all people, surviving the brutal conflict in France, especially since he spent most of the season alone. However, he managed to overcome the curse of the franchise’s spinoff and even played a heroic role in the end, establishing an important future for the pilot.

Ash doesn’t even have good survival skills in the post-outbreak world of The Walking Dead

Ash’s isolation means he has more limitations than the other survivors on The Walking Dead

Ash’s lack of survival skills only adds to how baffling it is that he’s still alive Undead universe. Although he can kill walkers and has the rare ability to fly, he is not the most capable when it comes to the new world. Considering that Abraham, Glenn, and Rosita died despite having unique survival traits, while people like the Governor and Genet were killed even with huge armies behind them, it’s truly a miracle that Ash didn’t die. His fortitude was the main thing keeping him alive, but even it had flaws.

The gates were all electrically operated, meaning a power failure left Ash’s home vulnerable as in Daryl Dixon season 2 premiere, and a single lightning bolt was capable of causing all kinds of trouble. Somehow, this wasn’t a big issue before the events of the spinoff, making Ash incredibly lucky. Outside your settlement, Ash isn’t the smartest at dealing with the undeadwhen he nearly crashed into a disaster during the Season 2 finale, with Daryl thankfully stopping him. Furthermore, he was also incapacitated in a car surrounded by zombies, only surviving because of the protagonists.

Still, despite his shortcomings, Ash was undoubtedly a strong addition to the Daryl Dixon season 2 cast, as his piloting skills and selfless personality make him a valuable ally. However, its survival characteristics are far from the type we are used to seeing in Undeadmaking it even more impressive that he outlasted some of the franchise’s most capable characters.

Ash’s survival is great for the future of The Walking Dead

The franchise may be investing more in new characters in the future

With UndeadWith recent projects continually dropping their new characters, Ash’s survival is a good sign for the future. It’s possible he could die in Season 3 or beyond, but his upbeat ending in Daryl Dixon the end of season 2 indicates that Ash may become part of a larger group alongside Laurent. Both would add great value to the Commonwealth and it would be easy for audiences to connect with them considering how difficult their journey has been. Its survival also creates other projects that follow suit, making spinoffs more crucial to the bigger picture.

Ash’s Daryl Dixon the story is incredibly encouraging for the franchise as a whole, and hopefully he can continue to defy the odds to survive.

If Codron manages to survive Season 3, he could also join the main survivors, while Dead City already teased Ginny joining the Hilltop. Perile Armstrong could even become part of Undeadcore communities, especially since New Babylon appears to have some sinister secrets. Instead of simply introducing these characters in some short-term drama, turning them into critical survivors for the future makes more sense and gives the spinoffs more value. So Ash Daryl Dixon the story is incredibly encouraging for the franchise as a whole, and hopefully he can continue to defy the odds to survive.
