This New Disney Dreamlight Valley Item Is a Game Changer for the Organization

In addition to Disney Dreamlight ValleyIn the fun story of, perhaps one of the most important features for players is the ability to completely customize their world. Unfortunately, one common thing for players is the way they have been forced to organize their item collection, but one Storybook Valley item may have resolved this issue.

While everyone has a slightly different way of doing this, most players typically manage their inventory with chests and display tables. Display tables, while efficient, are not the most aesthetically pleasing, but with no better option, they have become the standard. Storybook Valleyhowever, it has introduced a new item that could be the perfect replacement: Display Bubbles.

Display balloons make item management easier than ever

A new way to display items in chests presents players with options

As part of the new Storybook Valley expansion, there are many new items to buy, collect and craft. One of the new craftable items is Display Bubbles, of which there are four size variants, starting from small and going up to extra large. However, despite the name, small and normal display bubbles are the same size, only their position when placed is different.

Once placed, small and full-sized display bubbles hover on the floor and provide an internal space where an item can be placed. That said, only the small, normal-sized ones hover high enough on the ground to allow them to be placed above chests, with the small blobs being considerably higher in the air. This is very important when it comes to organizing inventory, as it presents players with something they didn’t have before; options.

Instead of having to take up space with tables behind each chest, players now have the option to use these display bubbles to display what is inside a chest just above itminimizing the space required for organizing storage. This allows gamers to make the most of their space, get rid of all the ugly tables, and design something that doesn’t have to sacrifice looks for functionality. There is one caveat, however, they have an action that allows you to pick up the item inside.

While this isn’t a deal breaker for using them for storage, it can cause frustration among some players as it can be quite easy to accidentally collect the item in the bubble when moving quickly rather than opening the chest. However, most of the time there is no need to pull specific items from inventory as cooking and crafting automatically uses them directly from storage, so the only time this may be an issue is when increasing inventory or retrieving a specific item for a mission.

While Display Bubbles are not a perfect solution, they are just another example of how Disney Dreamlight Valley is prioritizing design for its players. Other key examples include the customizable signs and mannequins that were part of another recent update from earlier in the year. Organization and decoration are important aspects of the game for some players, and for a long time they were forced to sacrifice one for the other.

However, If this is any indication that developers are listening to what’s important to players, then it’s likely that better features and customization are coming in the future. It is possible that we will see these improvements in the next updates of the Disney Dreamlight Valleywhich we hope will continue to offer new, customizable ways for players to optimize their inventory. Specifically, in ways that contribute to the overall design of a space rather than detract from it.

Some of Disney Dreamlight Valley’s design features still need some work

Despite the steps taken in recent updates, some aspects of the design still need improvement

Despite all the new design and customization features Disney Dreamlight Valley that the developers have brought to the game since its launch, several aspects can improve the overall experience for players and will be considered in future updates. Customizable signs, for example, were a great stepping stone in organizational design, but still limited, allowing players to only create a general indication, such as vegetables or fruits, but without specifics.

Since most players already separate areas, or even rooms, with this in mind, the signs, while pretty, don’t serve much of a functional purpose. However, if they offered unique icons for specific items, such as a specific piece of jewelry, it would not only add to the overall design of a space but also improve the functionality of the object. Additionally, if the trunks themselves had the option to label them, it would greatly minimize the extra clutter needed to help maintain inventory organization.

Regardless of what can still be improved, it’s still great to see Disney Dreamlight Valley recognizing that design is important to players and offering them new ways to design their spaces. Even though some players choose to stick with the traditional table display method, it’s nice that there are more options available for those who want them, and a good indicator that we may continue to see more changes like this in the future of Disney Dreamlight Valley.
